                           HPMENUS FOR HOST+

     License:

These menus are Freeware and intended for users of deltaComm
     Development's HOST+ program.

I am not responsible for anything, good or bad, that happens when
you use these menus. In other words, it is FULLY YOUR RISK when
using any of the menus included in this file.

     Introduction:

I created these graphic files mostly for fun to use on my own copy
of HOST+. Most of what I learned creating menus was included in
my original documentation for Host50 (which became Host+), but I
felt it would be nice to have some sample menus to help people just
starting out with the HPMENUS program. Change 'em, play with 'em,
tell your buddies you made them yourself, I don't care!

If you would like me to create a set of menus for your Host, I
would be happy to do so for a negotiated fee. You can leave me a
message on my board at (912) 245-0644 or via netmail on Fidonet at
1:3645/50. I also do ANSI screens for logon, newuser, and etc.

     Packing list:

     HPMENUS.1 Menu File
     HPMENUS.2 Menu File
     HPMENUS.3 Menu File
     README This file
     AD.ANS Ansi Screen
     SCREENS.ZIP All Menu Screens

    Menu Information:

Each menu is based on the default key set. If you have changed your
keys, you will have to change these menus to comform to your
practice. I have tested out each menu to insure that the minimum of
(Y/n)? prompts will occur to users who have selected to pause pages
    (mostly all of them, right?)

To install a set of menus, copy it over the current HPMENUS.DAT in
    your \TELIX\HOST directory. For example:

    COPY HPMENUS.1 \TELIX\HOST\HPMENUS.DAT

Here is a short description of what is contained in each file:

HPMENUS.1 -- A very basic menu set based on the color scheme
provided in the default menus of HOST+. The layout
                  is easier to read.

HPMENUS.2 -- This set looks like a pull down menu using graphics to
show what keys take you to other areas.

HPMENUS.3 -- A set I once used on my own copy of HOST+, without the
name of my BBS and other personal elements. Note that
I use O for Other File Bases instead of A for Area
                  change.

    Customizing Notes:

You can, of course, pull the individual menu screens from each
HPMENUS.DAT file by pressing F4 in H50MENUS to save the screen to
disk. For your convenience, I have included the individual screens
in a file called SCREEN.ZIP. Here is the code for figuring which
screen goes with which Menu File:

        1MMLOW.ANS matches HPMENUS.1 -- Main Menu -- Low Access
        1MMHI.ANS " " High Access
1FBLOW.ANS " File Menu Low Access
        1FBHI.ANS " " High Access
1MSG.ANS " Msg Menu Low and High

    Files with a 2 are for HPMENUS.2 and with a 3 are for HPMENUS.3.

All files are block saved to the size they need to be in HOST+.
Main Menu's and Files Menu's are saved to 11 lines. Message Menus
    are saved to 10 lines.

                                 ENJOY!
