Dear Phil,

Just a note to let you know how effective the Possibilities Newsletter
really is. As a result of the article about GLOBALNET, the worldwide
electronic bulletin board system of the Association of PC User Groups we
have received calls from New Zealand, Japan, Finland, Denmark, Holland,
South Africa, Germany, Yugoslavia as well as the United States. Your
coverage is truly unbelievable. Each of these calls was made by a SYSOP who
had read the article and wanted to correspond with GLOBALNET.

I think that Possibilities is probably one of the brightest things you have
ever done with regard to customer loyalty. We are going to recommend
Possibilities as a model for some of our clients to use in developing their
own newsletters because it is so effective.

On behalf of APCUG and its member user groups I would like to thank you for
adding another mile of pavement on the road to global communication and the
freedom that it brings to all of mankind. The technology you have shared
with APCUG through your generous donation of software and the support you
have made available to those involved in this project are sincerely
appreciated by all of us.

The technology you have chosen to share with all of us truly does make a
difference in the way the world works. Those who have chosen to give their
lives in the name of freedom have done so in many cases because the hope of
a better life had been communicated to them through technology. Without
that hope there would have been no purpose for taking the actions they did.

We all live in a better world because of the Possibilities.

Paul Curtis
Director & Chief SYSOP APCUG
Scotts Valley, California

Thank you for the kind words Paul. I sometimes forget that this newsletter
has grown along with the software. I still think of it as a publication to
a few hundred people who bought my software and want to make it work
effectively.

The facts are that even though this is a "company rag" it has a very large
circulation these days. I have always wanted this newsletter to be an
extension of my company and my software, and not just an advertisement
medium. Thank you for letting me know it is still fulfilling that job.

I waited a long time to start this newsletter because I wanted to be sure I
could supply "meat" each month. TBBS and its associated expansion modules
create a toolkit which can solve a tremendous range of problems, and even I
learn something new it can do every month. This publication exists to help
all of my customers continue to see the possibilities TBBS creates just by
its existence and better exploit their software.

It has always been my goal with TBBS to make one of the last arcane areas of
computing (multiuser communications) accessible to those who are not highly
technical. It is only by succeeding at this that I will enable people with
dreams and ideas which require this technology to be able to achieve them
without the computer becoming an overriding part of the task they face. As
I reach each "plateau" along the way another group of people is able to
master and use this software. And I get to see a new set of creative
applications I had never dreamed of.

I provide only the tools. It takes people like you to build the "buildings"
which make it all happen. I am pleased to have been able to help GlobalNet
move from a possibility to a reality. But my contribution was small
compared to the time, vision, and effort you and the others at APCUG brought
to bear -- Phil.
