HOW TO TELL TBBS TO USE EMS MEMORY
----------------------------------

TBBS may require EMS (expanded, LIM 3.2 or 4.0 compatible memory) if expansion
modules are installed, or if you have more than about six lines configured in
CEDIT. (EMS is required for even smaller line counts when options such as
TDBS are installed.)

TBBS uses this memory automatically - you DO NOT need to tell TBBS to use it.

Many people confuse the MLTBBS /X command line parameter as a way to tell TBBS
to use EMS. DO NOT USE THE /X OPTION UNLESS YOU ARE INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY
ESOFT TECHNICAL SUPPORT. The /X command line parameter is for debugging
purposes only, and forces TBBS to change the loading order of certain memory
segments. It is NOT needed to tell TBBS to use EMS - TBBS will use it
automatically if it's needed, and if it's installed properly.

If TBBS doesn't appear to being using installed EMS, then it's probably just
not needed.
