DIGIBOARD RELATED PROBLEMS
--------------------------

If you are having trouble getting your DigiBoard to work properly, follow
these steps:

1) Double-check setups against the TBBS manual. Most DigiBoard operational
problems result from improper settings of jumpers and/or switches. It is
important to check your settings against the manual very carefully to avoid
mistakes.

2) Check for base I/O address conflicts. Hardware devices, such as LAN
adapters, SCSI disk controllers, sound or voice cards, mouse interface cards,
other serial cards, some video cards, etc. -- as well as your computer itself
-- can use base I/O addresses. If the address(es) used by card(s) in your
computer are the same as those used on the DigiBoard, the DigiBoard, the
device(s) that conflict, or the PC itself may not work properly. Determine
the I/O addresses used by other cards in your machine, and make sure that they
are not the same as addresses used on the DigiBoard. (The addresses used by
the DigiBoard consist of the status port address, as well as individual port
addresses; both are listed in the TBBS manual in the DigiBoard configuration
section.) You will need to change conflicting addresses on the affected
device or on the DigiBoard so that they no longer conflict.

3) Check for IRQ conflicts. Hardware devices (such as those listed in
section 2 above) can use interrupt request lines (IRQs). IRQs cannot be
shared between separate devices (unless they are DigiBoards, which can share
interrupts). Determine what IRQs are in use in your machine. Your
DigiBoard(s) will be on IRQ3 or IRQ4. No other devices in your machine can be
using these same interrupt settings.

4) If all else fails, call eSoft Technical Support at (303) 699-1300.
