SYSTEM LOCKUPS WHEN RUNNING TDBS APPLICATIONS
---------------------------------------------

Although a system lockup can be caused by a variety of different things, one
of the more common when TDBS is in use is a corrupted index file.

If you find that your TBBS system is locking up when TDBS applications are
being run, especially if it's a particular TDBS program that is involved each
time, it's possible that one of the indexes (.NDX files) is corrupt.

To rectify this problem, you should reindex the databases of affected TDBS
applications. Some third party programs, if you run them, come with
reindexing utilities. If you are using TDBS applications you or your
organization have developed, reindex using whatever means are at your
disposal.

Once the index file integrity has been restored, lockups should cease if in
fact such corruption was the culprit.
