ANARTS WW RTTY Contest 1994 Results

The results of the ANARTS 1994 WW RTTY Contest are to hand and
extracts are published hereunder. The full result sheets will
be despatched to all contestants, various RTTY Societies and
Amateur magazines both in Australia and overseas. The posting
will be dalayed for about a week until all Certificates are
prepared for inclusion where appropriate, oreoaration of the
Plaques will probably take another month before final
despatch.

WORLD PLACE-GETTERS ARE:
------------------------
Classification A: Single Operator

1. VK2KM 3,765,325 Points Plaque and Certificate
2. SV2BFN 1,978,530 Certificate
3. JR5JAQ 1,802,920 Certificate

Classification B: Multi Operator

3. ONL3997 47,244 Certificate

In addition:
------------
There were 46 Certificates issued for 1st, 2nd or 3rd places
in DXCC countries or Areas as specified in the rules.

Matters of interest:
-------------------
Subsequent to information provided by N6GG it was found that
typos had flawed the original issue of the Points Exchange
Table. This has been revised (1994) and future contestants
should ensure they use issues so marked.

There were eighteen VKs recorded during the contest, but only
six of these submitted logs. This is a pity because our
standing overseas is enhanced when VKs are seen to be
participating in what after all, is OUR contest.

Rules, Log-Sheet, Summary Sheet and 1994 Exchange Table are
now available for the 1995 Contest to be held 10-11th June
1995, a request to the Contest Manager at Box 93, TOONGABBIE
NSW 2146 with an SASE will give you a copy of these items
which you may photocopy as required.

Comments from contestants:
-------------------------
SV2BFN A lot of QRN and someone stole 10 meters, only two
           QSOs ...
JR5JAQ Tnx fine contest, cond not so good but see you next
           year.
VE7SAY Maybe next year the bands will be better, cu next
year es tnx for the QSO
GW4KHQ Pleased to work at least one VK. I hope to improve
           on antennas by next year.
VK2GOM I did not operate for long as was in the throes of
putting up a tower/beam. Next year will be a
           different story...
SP6CYV CU in ANARTS 1995 ...
W9FFQ Again this year condx were very poor here. Heard no
JAs and only one African, even USA rather scarce.
           Enjoyed the contest.

Apologies, but this week's VK2SG RTTY DX Notes have not
arrived in time for the broadcast. We are trying to make
alternative arrangements but a gateway failure has upset those
plans for this week.
