ARLP023 Propagation de KT7H

Solar activity finally increased a bit after a period of zero
sunspots. Geomagnetic disturbances have begun to slack off, but
could increase again slightly this weekend. After that they are
expected to drop again, and then recurring coronal holes will
probably rotate into view and cause havoc around June 25, 26 and 27.

Probably the best period this month will be around June 17 when
solar flux is expected to be the highest and geomagnetic conditions
are predicted to be very quiet. Flux values are expected to inch up
to a peak of only 85 around mid month, and then slide back again.

Sunspot Numbers from June 2 through 8 were 0, 0, 0, 0, 14, 39 and
62, with a mean of 16.4. 10.7 cm flux was 67.9, 68.3, 67.6, 68.3,
70.6, 77.1 and 80.4, with a mean of 71.5.

This week's path projection is from Atlanta, Georgia to Gibraltar.

80 meters should be open from 0030 to 0530z, with the band peaking
around 0200. 40 meters should be good from 2330 to 0630, with
the peak period from 0100 to 0500. Check 30 meters from 2200 to
0730, and 20 meters from 1900 to 0400. 17 meters may be open on
some days from 1700 to 0600, and 15 meters around 0230. 12 and
10 meters do not look good at this time.
