Compatibility Statement
Remotely Possible v3.0a is compatible with LANtastic NOS v4.xx.

Product Overview
Remotely Possible is a LAN remote control package for NetBIOS or IPX LANs
that supports both text and graphics mode viewing and controlling of its hosts.
Remote mouse control of Microsoft Windows 3.0 in all modes and of mouse-
supporting DOS applications is also included. The host program cannot
accommodate multiple viewers, but a similar effect can be achieved by running
both the host and viewer on each PC and "daisy chaining" the connections. The
viewer software may be run as a TSR or a DOS application. Optional password
security is provided and the host software can be configured to allow viewing
only.

Test Equipment Configuration
The following machines were used for Remotely Possible testing. All machines
have VGA adapters installed and use Artisoft AE-2 NICs. Testing was
completed using LANtastic NOS v4.0 with AILANBIO.EXE and AE2.EXE v2.03.
Machines running as LANtastic peer servers are designated by (S).

	- CompuAdd 333: 386DX/33, DOS 5.0 (S)
	- Altima 2: 286/16 portable, LCD VGA, DOS 4.01
	- CompuAdd 316s: 386SX/16, DOS 5.0 (S)
	- Northgate 386: 386DX/20, DOS 5.0 (S)

Product Installation Notes
If Windows 3.0 support is needed, the recommended method of installing
Remotely Possible is to run the Windows-based RPSETUP.EXE from the
product diskette on each host PC. This will set up the correct drivers for
remote Windows operation and transfer the software files to the desired
directory. Note that after rpsetup is finished, Windows must be exited in order
to install the host program in memory. In a DOS only environment, all that is
necessary is to copy the program files from the product diskette to the PC's
hard drive, then run a batch file called MAKE_NB.BAT to prepare the software for
NetBIOS operation.

Product Execution Notes
Remotely Possible consists of two programs, HOST.EXE and VIEWER.EXE. A
third program, HOSTMENU.EXE can be used to install the host with a pop up
menu that allows the host program to initiate connections to viewers. The host
program uses about 18K without menus and approximately 44K with the menus.
The viewer TSR takes 38K of RAM. Some configuration information is specified
on the host or viewer command line and detailed configuration is done from a
"Setup" menu once the software is loaded. Once the host or viewer software is
loaded, the menu can be popped up via a user definable hot key (defaults are
alt-V for a viewer and alt-H for a host). From the menu, the user has a choice
of making a remote control connection or entering the detailed configuration
submenu. If remote mouse control capability is desired, a mouse driver must be
installed before running the viewer program.

Compatibility Notes
No incompatibilities were found during testing.
