Thanks for trying POPOUT Version 2.0. We've made a number
of enhancements over Version 1.1, including the ability to
read and write Targa formatted images, making it easier to
generate stereograms from ray traced images. Also, we've
made some additions and improvements in selecting colors
for the Random and Custom Color output style RDS images.
Furthermore, the registered version has the ability to
generate stereogram images not of the Random Dot variety,
but by tiling and distorting a background image.

Because POPOUT is being distributed via a number of channels,
there may not be an installation utility on this diskette or
in this file. If there is, it is called INSTALL.EXE.
From withing the Windows' Program Manager, click on 'File',
then click on 'Run'. Type the command A:\INSTALL.

Note:
If you've already run the install utility, and a POPOUT
Program Group has been created with a number of items, there
is a possibility that none of the POPOUT files has actually
been copied to your diskette. This is a problem in some
systems with the way Windows caches files. If this happens,
either exit then restart Windows and try it again, or else
copy all of the files on the POPOUT diskette to your POPOUT
install directory.

This diskette contains the following files:
README.TXT - This file.
INSTALL.EXE - The POPOUT Install utility.
INSTALL.INF - The POPOUT Install Information file.
POPOUT.EXE - POPOUT Version 2.0 executable
POPOUT.HLP - POPOUT Help File
POPOUT.PAL - This is a Paintbrush palette file, used to redefine the
Paintbrush palette to use POPOUT colors.
EXAMPI1.BMP - Sample Source Image created using Paintbrush, and used
               to create EXAMPO1.BMP and EXAMPO2.BMP
EXAMPI2.BMP - File created using POLYRAY and PLY2POP. This file has
been converted from Targa to BMP so that you can view it
using Paintbrush. It must first be converted to Targa
to be a suitable POPOUT Source File. In it's original
Targa format, it was used to create EXAMPO3.BMP and
               EXAMPO4.BMP. (see PLY2POP.TXT)
EXAMPO1.BMP - Sample RDS Image in Black & White using this shareware.
EXAMPO2.BMP - Sample RDS Image in Random Colors using the registered
version, instructing POPOUT to generate lots of green.
EXAMPO3.BMP - Sample Custom Color RDS Image using the registered version
and EXAMPI2.TGA (not included) as the Source File, with
the Pixel Density parameter set at 60%. This file was
converted from Targa so it could be viewed using
               Paintbrush.
EXAMPO4.BMP - Sample Dual-Image stereogram using the registered version
and EXAMPI2.TGA as source, and BIRD.BMP as the Background
               File.
BIRD.BMP - This is the background image used to create EXAMPO4.BMP.
COLORS.POC - This is a sample color file used for creating EXAMPO3.BMP.
It was created by pressing the colors "LtBlue, LtCyan,
               LtGreen, LtYellow, LtRed".
USFLAG.POC - This is another example of a color file, created using
               the colors "LtRed, White, LtBlue".
PLY2POP.EXE - This is a DOS command line utility for converting
a POLYRAY-generated image to something POPOUT can use
as a Source File. See PLY2POP.TXT.
PLY2POP.TXT - Text file that describes PLY2POP.EXE
BMP2TGA.EXE - This is a simple DOS command utility for converting
               BMP formatted files to Targa.
BMP2TGA.TXT - Text file describing BMP2TGA.EXE
TGA2BMP.EXE - This is a simple DOS command utility for converting
               Targa formatted files to BMP.
TGA2BMP.TXT - Text file describing TGA2BMP.EXE
