                        *** IMPORTANT***
Reinstallation or Moving the DESCRIBE IT:

To reinstall DESCRIBE IT in the same directory using "install.exe",
you must delete ONLY files listed above but NOT "dscribit.ini" and NOT
data files with a ".DSC" extension.Save or move the file "dscribit.ini"
to any other directory.Use "install.exe" to reinstall the above files.
Delete the new "dscribit.ini" file and copy the old one you saved back
in its place. If you don't use this procedure you will lose your current
configuration and if registered have to enter your registration number
again. DO NOT delete any ".DSC" files in the existing directory or you
will lose all previously saved keywords and descriptions.

 Saving Data Files:

DESCRIBE IT has its own proprietary data base files stored in the
directory you created in step 1. These files are named Xcdscfnm.dsc,
Xdsckey.dsc, and Xcdsctxt.dsc, where X represents each hard drive on
your system. For example cdsckey.dsc is the keyword table for the c:
 hard drive.
To SAVE your descriptions these files MUST NOT BE DELETED, or you
will lose all your current descriptions. When moving DESCRIBE IT
you must move these files with the program. DESCRIBE IT uses the
text you entered in the Win.ini file in step 5 to find these data
base files. If the files are not present DESCRIBE IT makes new ones.

 Archiving Your Data Files:

To save all your descriptions when you archive files, include the
Data Base files mentioned above in the back up. If these files are
backed up to tape or to disk you will not lose your descriptions
 and keywords.
