1: Tagline content -MUST- conform to the same policy as messages.
2: Signatures must not exceed 3 total lines (max 70 chars/line).
3: English is the official language of this network. No other
     languages are allowed.
4: Encrypted messages (such as UUENCODEd) are NOT allowed!
5: Use of 'alias' names is NOT allowed. Use only real names when
when posting messages in this network!
6: Keep quoting down to a bare minimum, but make sure to include
enough to remind the poster what was being discussed. Quote
boxes are not allowed in any conference.
7: "FOR SALE" or "WANTED TO BUY" messages -must- be contained in the
ForSale conference. "BBS ad" messages -must- be contained in
the BBSad conference. Business ads and organization (group) ads
are -not- allowed unless cleared by Governors. Chain-letter
type of messages are also -not- allowed. Conference HOSTs may

conference subject material. Firearms, ammunition, and illegal
items (including drugs) are not allowed in the ForSale conference.
8: Obscenities and/or obvious swearing/profanity is not allowed.
Using ***'s, ---'s, or "masking" swearing or profanity with

other events before everyone gets a chance to see it) messages
-must- leave the first page of the message (23 lines) blank with
the exception of a line which indicates the message is a Spoiler.
This 'hides' the information from all except those who chose to
     read it.

                            *** USERS POLICY ***
1: Must obey all parts of the MESSAGE CONTENT POLICY.
2: Do not respond to another user who has attacked you with a
message which violates network policy!! The conference HOST
     will deal with it.
3: Keep the messages on-topic for the conference you are in. If
the message exchange gets off-topic, please move it to a more
appropriate one. ADMINISTRATE and POLICY conferences are to
be used for network business or policy discussions only - do
not continue threads started in either of these conferences
if the topic strays from network business.
4: You are -strongly advised- to read the OtherNet "Etiquette"
document and follow the guidelines which are covered there.

                          *** BBS SYSOP POLICY ***
1: Must obey all parts of the USERS POLICY.
2: Must keep current with all network changes.
3: Must make current network policies easily available to callers.
This includes making the OtherNet information packets available
and we'd suggest putting our POLICY document into your bulletins.
4: Must relay all network messages daily unless other arrangements
are agreed upon with the GOVERNOR(s).
5: Sysops should not allow access to the network and/or conferences
of anybody in the network/conference TCAN or if requested to
remove access from somebody as instructed by a network GOVERNOR.
We -strongly suggest- that only verified callers be allowed to
     access ANY OtherNet conferences.
6: Network mail must be kept on the system for at LEAST one month
(30 days) minimum before being purged unless other arrangements
are agreed upon with the GOVERNOR(s).
7: Sysops/Co-sysops must insure that only authorized people are allowed
access into the 'private' conferences: NET_HUB and CONF_HOST

                         *** NETWORK HUBS POLICY ***
1: Must obey all parts of the USER POLICY and BBS SYSOP POLICY.
2: Should work with all system(s) below them and the NETWORK BASE
to insure reliable mail-flow throughout the network.
3: Are responsible for passing information to the Administration
about the BBSes under them and to verify (check out) the new
systems which would possible be joining the network and getting
     mail from them.
4: Network HUBs -must- relay mail daily - unless system problems
prevent them from doing so. If this is the case, the HUB must
inform the Administration and systems below them as soon as
     possible about the problem(s).

                       *** CONFERENCE HOST POLICY ***
1: Must obey all parts of the USERS POLICY.
2: HOSTs must read all messages (posted in the conference(s) which
they Host) for content according to the network POLICYs. HOSTs
must advise -any- USER who enters a message which violates a
POLICY of the rule(s) which they have violated.
3: HOSTs will notify the CHIEF MODERATOR (CM) of any violation so that
the CM may make a note of it also.
4: HOSTs should consider the degree of seriousness of violations
and issue warnings accordingly. Sometimes a message to that
USER informing them of the violation is enough, but you should
still advise the CM that this was done.
5: A conference HOST can -not- initiate a suspension or a TCAN.
However, the HOST -can- advise for this (from the CM) along
     with stating the reason(s) why.
6: The network GOVERNORS (in whole or in part) has the final say
in Moderations, but the CM can initiate suspensions and TCANs.
7: HOSTs -can- enable 'conference-specific' rules - but these MUST be
     cleared by the GOVERNORS first.
8: HOSTs may participate in the conferences which they monitor, but
-must- remain fair (unbiased) with respect to others. The HOSTs
must include their 'I am conference HOST' type of signature in
any message within a conference which they monitor and must not
use that in other conferences (aside from HOSTS, ADMINISTRATE,
and POLICY) unless it is needed in the three just mentioned.

                       *** GOVERNOR POLICY ***
1: Each of the GOVERNORs can make decisions without a DISCUSSION -if-
the situation requires only a simple (or already agreed upon)
solution. These decisions -MUST- be based upon current POLICY.
2: A "DISCUSSION" is required to create, change, or remove any
NETWORK POLICY. It is also required in more complex decisions,
-gray area- judgment calls, or where a decision by a single
     GOVERNOR is questioned.
3: The DISCUSSION itself will be held in the HOSTS conference,
but the outcome is posted in the ADMINISTRATION conference
along with any noteworthy items from the DISCUSSION.
