TERMINOLOGY:

  CONFERENCE = An area of specific interest or subject matter.

  CONFERENCE HOST = Any person who officially watches over a conference for
    message content.  HOSTs are also encouraged to participate actively in
    the conferences which they host.

  GOVERNOR(s) = a small group of people who collectively decide issues which
    concern the network and/or its policies.  Several different views help
    make more un-biased (better for everyone) decisions.

  LEVEL x HUB = A BBS which not only obtains network mail from the NETWORK
    BASE (or another HUB), but also has other BBS's calling it for mail. The
    "x" represents how far away from the HOST they are.  Level 1 calls the
    HOST directly, Level 2 calls a Level 1, Level 3 calls a Level 2, etc.

  MEMBER = Any non-HUB BBS which receives network mail.

  NETWORK BASE = The "top" system in the network tree.

  TCAN = The "TrashCAN" is a list of users who are not allowed to read or
    write mail in this network.

  USER = Any person who accesses this network.
