                                   Present

                            "FORTKNOX" Ver. 1.0

A .WCX for use with Wildcat BBS Software
                    Versions 4.01, 4.10, 4.11, 4.12, 4.20

DISCLAIMER: You use this code at your own risk, should you have a
problem with that, then, I suggest you DO NOT install
                or use this .WCX program.

TESTING: The product, if used as described, works flawlessly. I
and several other SYSOP's have tested the HELL out of
it and encountered NO problems. So it should work very
                well on YOUR system.

   AFTER UNZIPPING YOU SHOULD HAVE:

        INSTALL.TXT   ------------>  This File
        FORTKNOX.BBS  ------------>  A nice "SYSOP" Utility Banner
FORTKNOX.420 ------------> Executable Code for Ver. 4.20 Sysops
FORTKNOX.412 ------------> Executable Code for Ver. 4.12 Sysops
FORTKNOX.411 ------------> Executable Code for Ver. 4.11 Sysops
FORTKNOX.401 ------------> Executable Code for Ver. 4.01 Sysops

WHAT DOES THIS THING DO ?

The FORTKNOX.WCX program, once installed, offers YOU, <the SYSOP> the
ability to Add a "Problem User" to your BADNAMES & BADPHONE.LST files
in ONE simple step! As an added BONUS both the "Problem User's"
Voice # and Data # <as provided in their Wildcat! User Record> will be
written into your BADPHONE.LST file <located in your Wildcat! Home
Directory>. Once this task is complete, FORTKNOX automatically
DELETES the "Problem User's" record from your Wildcat! User Database
   file.

WHY IS THIS THING SO GOOD ?

Many .wcx authors riddle their "code" with all sorts of self promotion
and advertising for their OWN BBS systems, flashing their BBS Tel #'s
in your callers faces, etc... or, even worse, building in ANNOYING
delays that are of NO value to you or your callers!

This .wcx has NONE of the above mentioned grief associated with it, but
should you decide to run it, please, send us a small donation as a TOKEN
of your thanks <our Mailing address has been included later just for
   this very purpose>.

   Recap:

"NO Delays, No Grief, No Demo Keys, No Self-Promotion"

OK I'M SOLD! - HOW DO I INSTALL IT ?

    1) From the .wcx's included with this archive, find the one that
matches the Ver. # of the Wildcat BBS Software you are using
and rename the appropriate file to FORTKNOX.WCX

Now, before going any further ... ensure that you have a file
in your Wildcat Home Directory called BADNAMES.LST <if not,
make one now>. ALSO, ensure you have a file called BADPHONE.LST
in your Wildcat Home Directory, if not, make one now !

(If you are using Ver. 4.10 of Wildcat!, select the FORTKNOX.401 file).

    2) Copy or Move the FORTKNOX.WCX file into your Wildcat Home Dir.

          Likely: C:\WILDCAT

    3) Copy or Move the FORTKNOX.BBS file into your DISPLAY directory.

          In most cases, likely C:\WILDCAT\DISP

If you like you may EDIT the FORTKNOX.BBS file with WCDRAW to
reflect your own BBS's Theme / Style. But, why bother you are
the only one who will see it :)

    4) Using MAKEMENU, add a Keystroke to the SYSOP Menu to allow the
FORTKNOX.WCX program to run once you have it installed in the
          proper directory.

This brief document is not meant to act as an indepth guide to
installing a 3rd. Party .WCX program, so should you be unfamiliar
with the "Specifics" on doing so, I suggest you read the Chapter
covering "Customization" and "MAKEMENU" located in your Wildcat!
4.XX Manual, or E-Mail me with your specific question(s).
