    OVERVIEW

This program places all of the prompts that a user encounters, in a
window, centered on the screen. This provides a stunning interface
for callers that are used to the more conventional way of doing this.

This effect is made possible by commands in wcCode that place
characters on the screen at pre-defined coordinates. Wildcat! makes
it happen by use of ANSI escape codes. This means that if a caller
is not using a terminal that supports these codes, they will be given
    the alternative, standard prompts instead.

Version 1.10 and above now add the ability to assign .WAV files to
events that occur at logon, as well as additional configurability.

Note: A message will be displayed under the license message that
is displayed at logon. This is for product identification. This
program is freeware, so if you don't like this text being displayed,
you have the freedom to discontinue using it, and I suggest that you
excersize that right, rather than sending me an E-mail stating your
    opinion.

    INSTALLATION

Place the file MAIN.WCX and MAINWAVE.WCX in your Wildcat! home
directory. Use wcMenu to add the program MAINWAVE.WCX to your
sysop menu, or any other menu, but be sure that your users are
not given access to this program.

Log onto your BBS, and run MAINWAVE.WCX. You are given a menu
    with the following choices:

    [E] Enable MainWave
By turning this off, all the added features in MAIN.WCX
        will be turned off.

    [P] Prompt for Alias/Handle
This allows you to toggle between the style of prompts used
for entering user names. If allow your users to use an alias
name, or "handle", the user will be given only one prompt,
asking for an alias/handle, rather than the two prompts for
entering the first and last name.

    [N] Non-Ansi call handling
When a caller enters your BBS, and s/he is not using a
terminal program that supports ANSI emulation, the display
of ANSI codes will not be decyphered correctly. This option
gives you a means to warn non-ansi (non-color) callers of
this fact. You can opt to [A] allow normal logon, without any
warning, [W] Warn callers, and give them the option to hang
up and call back with color/ANSI enabled, or [F] Force the
user to hangup, and call back with color/ANSI.

    [W] Wave file assignment
This brings up another menu that allows you to select .WAV
files to be played for several events that occur at logon.
Note that these file assignments are not likely to work
over a local-area network. You must have a sound card
installed on your computer. Turning off the page bell from
Wildcat! online will disable the playing of any .WAV files
        you have assigned.

    [A] About Main Wave
This brings up information about this product, for viewing
online. It mostly covers information about playing .WAV
        files.

    [H] Help with Main Wave
This brings up online help for this product. It mostly
covers information about playing .WAV files.

You should now be ready to give this program a shot... log off
your BBS, and log back on again. If you have assigned .WAV files
to any logon events, you should hear them now...

    REVISION HISTORY

v1.00 Original release made available with Power Logon. Added only
a single command that made Power Logon support fast logon
           characters

v1.01 First release availble separately. Added the "Windowed"
prompts for logging on to the BBS.

v1.02 Fixed a small gramatical error in one of the "Windowed"
           prompts.

v1.03 Added the ability for the cursor to resume where it left
off after displaying your PRELOG.BBS, and the subsequent
"Windowed" prompts. This makes it so that if you prefer
to have the text continue to scroll after login, rather
than clearing the screen, the text will not resume after
           the last "Window".

v1.04 Fixed a small display error when a new user is prompted
to enter their password a second time for verification.
Previously, the prompt was started outside the window to
           the left.

v1.05 Corrected a couple minor type-o's in previous versions.

v1.10 Added additional configurability, and the ability to
assign .WAV files to logon events. Finally named this
program "MainWave". Also made the custom prompt for
location at logon ("Are you Joe Blow from Tuscon, AZ?")
include a [Y/n] prompt, which should default to a [Y]es
           response.
