WASTE for Windows by Joseph T. Glosz Jr

Waste for Windows looks best on resolutions of at
least 800x600 using Windows' "small fonts."

At 640x480 you'll need to scroll to see the full
display. And if you are using "large fonts" then
it may look strange.

I'm sorry for that, but unless a lot of people
"register" this program, I simply don't have
the time to make it work well at all resolutions
and both font settings.

To install, unzip the zipped file to some temp
directory (or a floppy). Then, double-click on
SETUP.EXE (or select it from the Program Manager's
File|Run menu).

The Windows version runs under Windows 3.1 and Win95
because these share the same FAT-based file system.
Waste for Windows may not run under Win NT, but see
online help for more details.

There is nothing unusual in the setup for Waste for Windows.

It DOES NOT modify any of your system files. It doesn't
touch any of your INI files, or your AUTOEXEC.BAT, or
your CONFIG.SYS file. All the setup program does is copy
a few of files to the directory you specify to hold
WASTE, and one to your \windows\system directory, if they
aren't already there.

Then a program manager group is created.

Specifically (and if you wish to do it manually):

This file is copied to:
---------------	---------------------------
WASTEW.EXE	directory you chose (main pgm file)
WASTE.HLP	directory you chose (help file)
WASTE.DIZ	directory you chose (blurb)
WASTEWIN.TXT	directory you chose (this file)
CTL3D.DLL	\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (most already have this)

-------------------------------------------
Waste for Windows is shareware but the information it provides
could recover HUNDREDS of megabytes of space for you. This is
worth quite a bit of money, and I humbly request only $5. If
you find it as useful as have many others, please send $5 to

  Joseph T. Glosz
  10825 Elderwood Road
  San Diego, CA 92131-1559

And if there is such a thing as karma, it will be returned to
you tenfold! In any case, enjoy this utility!

PS >> Some overseas users have responded that it is difficult
to send $5 internationally. If this is the case or if you
don't want to send $5 even domestically, then I humbly
request that you simply take a programmer friend out for a
cup of coffee at a REAL cafe or independent REAL coffeehouse.
If you have no programmer friends, then just take anyone of your
favorite gender. The point is, SUPPORT those little cafes before
they're all gone and individuality is relegated to nothing but
fond memories.
