It is 5:20 AM, May 10, 1940. Twelve German gliders have just landed on the
"Eben Emael Plateau", the top casement of what is considered to be the most
impregnable fort in the world. Eben Emael controls the vital confluence of
the Albert Canal. Codenamed "Granite", the German force is an elite assault
party of the 7th Airborne Division, and contains a force of Sturmpioners and
Falschemjagers. The rivetments and steel cupolas of Eben Emael must be
destroyed within the first four hours (eleven turns) if the bridges of the
Mastricht Corridor are to be secured on schedule.
