
     Stalingrad2,Oct 1942




                          
                            This is the conclusion to the first Stalingrad scenario.It
 takes place in the industrial area of Stalingrad.This is the area where the battle 
 over the "Red October" factory took place.

                            A little map flaw; this area on the scenario should have
 the bigger buildings that are directly behind the river your troops are placed at.
 I tried to depict those buildings as the factory,but I put them in the wrong place.
 So there will be no climactic struggel for the Red October factory in this scenario.
 And I certanly was not going to spend another 4 frustrating hours on that map editor.
                        But you can struggle over a HQ building!

       Your mission,



    TO: YOU
          
  FROM: SIXTH ARMY HQ COMMAND;
                           
 Colonel-General Friedrich Paulus


     You are to destroy all strong points occupied by Russian resistince.
     Your second objective is the capture of the Russian Sixty-Second Army headquarters.
     You have been sent the 14th Gustapo Intelligence platoon which will take command 
     once you have reached the headquarters and recover any documents,as well as 
     interrogate any HQ officals caught alive.

     You will be supplied with more combat engineers and assisted by the 21st Waffen SS
     company.Your kampfgruppe will be supported by seige tanks from the Fourth Panzer 
     Army.Air support and artillery will be avilable at your command.

     Intellagence has shown that your up agianst primarily infantry and that no enemy 
     armor should be present.We have also been warned of a Russian build up that might 
     become a counter-attack directed towards us sometime this winter.
     So time is of the most importance.You must quickly strike and dig in until releaved.     
                            Do not fail your mission!





 Oh,and don't get frustrated at the way the Russians are set up;how you cant see them
 until your getting half your squad blown up in a close assualt.Thats the only way I 
 could make this scenario somewhat challenging because they won't fire until your next to
 them,allowing you to kill them from a distance too easily.Expect some heavy losses at 
 first,but then it starts getting better once you start outflanking strong points.And 
 don't be afraid to wait a few turns to bombard positions where the enemy is dug in,its 
 18 turns long so you have plenty of time.To get the full experiance of this scenario
 the way I designed it,stay within the compound of the city.
