  KURSK,JULY 1943

On July 12 600 German tanks, all that General Hermann Hoth could
assemble, moved there way to the town of Prokhorovka, where he hoped to penetrate a
weakend section of the Russian front. For success, this design depended on a flank attack
on Soviet armored reserves by three Panzer divisions from Army Detachment Kempf.Thier
advance, however, was slowed to a crawl by Shumilov's Seventh Guards, dug in behind mine-
fields.Hoth's overworked tanks, manned by exhausted crews, had to fight the ensuing eight
hour battle without support. They faced 850 armored vehicals operated by fresh combat
ready crews of the Fifth Guards Tank Army.Nearly 1,500 tanks fired at eachother at
point-blank range in the most ferocious armored clash in history. Each side lost some
300 tanks. The Russians could easly replace such losses to thier tanks and crews;the
 Germans could not.

This scenario is'nt really historical, its set after the Germans
broke through the minefields and encounterd the Seventh Guards Army. Some of it depicts
the close combat that occured during the battle, but not all of it.Putting all the tanks
close together like that did'nt work out well with the AI,not to mention it just took
too long to do anything with all the opposition firing at every move.So basically its
just a massive armor meeting engagement that makes the perfect E-MAIL scenario.

The Germans have fewer tanks but with the right moves you can win
quite easily agianst the AI.But the two forces are pretty much evenly matched if you
were to play agianst a human opponant. The Russians are suppost to carry the day,but
I think you can pull it off.You can also play either side, but I suggest you choose your
favorite side first.Once you know were the opposition is set up it kinda makes it less
challenging. Also while playing E-MAIL the Germans have a small advantage at the very
begining, but it wont change the course of the battle.
                            Hope you enjoy it!
