EI Activity Day

Listeners are reminded that the EI Activity Day will be held on
Sunday week, March 17th. It is hoped that all counties will be on
the air on the day, both for local and DX contacts.

As this will be the first activity day since the launch of the
Worked All Ireland Award Scheme, all stations should be in great
demand.

If you dont know your square, a call in to the WAI net on 3.670
on Sundays should get you the required information.

WAI books are available from EI4BZ for six pounds including
postage.

contest. Both entered as Single Band, Single Ops and both claimed

ARRL SSB DX Contest

The ARRL SSB contest takes place next weekend with the idea being
to work as many North American stations as possible.

The exchange from this side will be signal report and power level
e.g. 59 100.

While the contest will not be of interest to everyone, it is an
ideal opportunity to work some of the rarer states for your Worked
All States Award.

This contest leads to many Dxpeditions being on the air and most
of them will be operational in the days before and after the
contest.

Some such stations will be J37K form Grenada, PY0FF from Fernando
de Noranaha, ZF Cayman Islands ...and many more .
