                           WICEN News

The various WICEN exercises last weekend, all competing for per-
sonnel, are now over. Peter Carter VK2ETK, the organiser of the
NSW Long Course Championship Triathlon wants to thank all 32 per-
sonnel attending; they came from Orange, Bathurst, Mudgee, Cowra,
Young, Forbes, Parkes and Sydney. Similarly, Dave VK2KFU would
like to thank all those who made the Bungonia Cave Rescue exer-
cise yet another success. Dave advises that due to heavy concen-
trations of carbon dioxide gas (the dreaded "CO2", which almost
resulted in an "authentic"), the exercise will move to another
month next year, probably October; don't worry -- he has made the
Cave Rescue organisers aware of the other events that month.

Events this month include the closing date for Senior Rescue In-
structors' Conference on Friday; the VRA Mid-year Conference at
Inverell next weekend; the RCOs' Conference at Hornsby RSL Club
next Sunday; and the end of the financial year, with subscrip-
tions due (a mere $10), also next Sunday.

Next month sees the Mid North Coast Horse Enduro on the weekend
of 6-7th April, the Forster Triathlon on 20th-21st April, and the
RTA Big Bike Ride, from Albury to Bathurst, from the 20th to the
28th April.

days, Hunter each Wednesday at 7.30pm on the Newcastle repeater
6900, the State-wide HF net each Wednesday at 8.30pm around 3610
kHz, and Central Coast each Thursday at 8.30pm on the Wyong re-

to hear about them.
