                           WICEN News

All WICEN members are reminded that subscriptions are now due; a
mere $10 sent to the Treasurer will make him very happy, and will
also ensue your membership within the only amateur radio organi-
sation accredited by the State government to take part in a dis-
aster situation.

Are you wondering how you are going to pay for your "Green Slip"
this year? If so, perhaps WICEN has the answer: a "Green Slip",
donated by the NRMA, is First Prize in the WICEN raffle. Second
and third prizes are generous orders upon a leading electronics
retail firm. This raffle is open to everyone, not just WICEN or
WIA members (you mean, you aren't a member of both?). For fur-
ther details please contact your local harried WICEN official.

Next month sees the Mid North Coast Horse Enduro on the weekend
of the 6-7th April, the monthly Management Committee meeting on
the 13th April, the Divisional AGM on the 20th April, the Forster
Triathlon on the 20th-21st April, and the RTA Big Bike Ride, from
Albury to Bathurst, from the 20-28th April.

Looking ahead to May, there is the Dobie Camping Area exercise,
organised by Frank VK2XVJ, over the 3rd-5th May; over the same
period is the Senior Rescue Instructors' conference (to which
WICEN was invited), on the 4th-5th May; and the closing date for
the WICEN "Green Slip" raffle is the 11th May.

Those regions wishing to have their activities publicised on this
broadcast are requested to have the details with the Publicity
Officer, Dave VK2KFU, by Thursday night at the latest. Packet
radio is the preferred medium, to the VK2KFU system itself (AX.25
or TCP/IP), or failing that, to VK2DAA, VK2OP, or VK2GJB.

WICEN (NSW) has an interactive Web page, and the Uniform Resource
Locator is: "http://www.nsw.wicen.org.au/".
