(TUCSON, AZ -- December 21, 1995) -- Artisoft, Inc. (Nasdaq:  ASFT)

has acquired Triton Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of remote

access technology, in a cash transaction valued at approximately $11.6

million.  Triton Technologies, under the CoSession brand name, is the market

leader in remote control software for PC OEMs including the IBM

Corporation, NEC Technologies, Inc. and Zenith Data Systems Corporation. 

CoSession for Windows 6.0, Triton's latest product release, began shipping

earlier this month, offering enhanced features and functionality including

increased file transfer rates, multitasking capabilities and multiprotocol

call waiting.

  

William C. Keiper, Artisoft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

stated, "Our strategy of providing easy-to-use, affordable and powerful

networking solutions to small and mid-sized businesses, now recognizes the

importance of making the additional resources of the telephony infrastructure

The Triton transaction will be accounted for as a purchase.  A

substantial percentage of the purchase price for Triton, and for the

recently-acquired Synergy Solutions, Inc., is attributed to in-process

technology and will be charged to operations in the current fiscal quarter.
