This is the HELP file for the OSE mail archive server. The mail address
for the mail server is:

  ose-help@nms.otc.com.au

The purpose of the archive is to store up to date information of known
problems for current versions of OSE. At times, other material will also be
made available. Announcements of availability of new material will be made
on the OSE mailing list. If you are not on the mailing list, you can
subscribe by sending mail to:

  ose@nms.otc.com.au

and ask to be placed on to the mailing list.

To fetch the announcement for the latest version of OSE, send to the mail
server a mail message containing, in the body of the message, the command:

  send ANNOUNCE

To fetch the list of known problems for the latest version of OSE, send to
the mail server a mail message requesting the PROBLEMS file. For example,
send to the mail server a mail message containing, in the body of the
message, the command:

  send PROBLEMS

PROBLEMS files are also available for older versions of OSE, or any
BETA versions of the next release, which are available. For example,
to request the PROBLEMS file for version 4.0 of OSE, send to the mail
server a mail message containing, in the body of the message, the
command:

  send PROBLEMS-4.0

If you are using an old version of OSE, and would like to know what has
changed in OSE since the version you have, you can also request the CHANGES
files. For example, if you are using version 3.3 of OSE, and would like
to know what changes were made between that version and version 4.1. 
Send to the mail server a mail message containing, in the body of the
message, the commands:

  send CHANGES-4.0
  send CHANGES-4.1

To get a listing the files available, send to the mail server a mail
message containing, in the body of the message, the command:

  send INDEX

To fetch information about the mail server and the commands it recognises,
send to the mail server the command:

  help

Note that it is not possible to fetch OSE using the mail server. To fetch
OSE, you will need to grab it via ftp from one of the following sites:

  Europe:

  United States

  Australia:
