BELIEFS OF THE UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH

An Icon-driven look at the beliefs of the UPC and the church of the first century, as founded by Jesus!

About the Windows version of Beliefs:

System Requirements: An IBM compatible 286, 386, 486 or Pentium Computer with a minimum of 2 MB of RAM, and a VGA display. 500KB of free hard disk space is needed. A copy of Windows version 3.0 and above is also required. You may also be able to run this program under Windows NT, OS/2 2.0, or any other operating system that lets you run Windows applications.

To install the Windows version of Beliefs, start Windows 3.0 or greater. From the Program Manager, under the File menu, select Run. Type [floppy drive letter]:SETUP. For example, if the floppy drive is A:, you would type:

A:SETUP (then press ENTER)

To run this program, double-click on the above icon in your Program Manager Window. Using this program is very easy- just single-click on the item you want. Note that the text in the dialog windows cannot be edited, or changed and saved.

About the GEOS version of Beliefs:

A version of this program is also available for the Commodore 64 and Commodore 128, running GEOS. It was written using GeoBasic. A Commodore 64 or 128, a 1541 or compatible disk drive, a joystick, touchpad or mouse, and a copy of GEOS are required to run this program. To run it, simply insert the Commodore 64 formatted diskette into your disk drive; open the diskette, and double-click on the above icon to run it.

This program is the same as the Windows version. The only difference is in the information under Baptisms-- it is not as extensive, due to memory restrictions. To my knowledge, this is the only program to be released that was written for both Microsoft Windows and GEOS. (The America Online Terminal Software is written for Microsoft Windows and GEOWorks Ensemble on the IBM PC.)

A note from the author:

Read the information presented, and read the books of Acts, as well as the letters to the first century churches. You will see that we base our doctrine on the beliefs and actions of the first century Church, the Church that Jesus himself founded. We believe that the First Century church had all that is needed to be saved, and to walk in the ways of Jesus himself. Then, contact your nearest United Pentecostal Church for more information. You can find the nearest UPC by looking in the Yellow Pages under Churches, United Pentecostal. We invite you to join us for worship, and to listen to our Radio Program, HarvestTime. Call the Christian radio stations in your area to find out the days and times they broadcast HarvestTime.

The information in this program comes from a book entitled Meet the United Pentecostal Church International, by David Bernard, J.L. Hall, C.A. Brewer, etc., published by Word Aflame Publications, 8855 Dunn Rd. Hazelwood, Missouri, 1989. Most of the information on baptisms comes from a pamphlet titled Water Baptism according to the Bible and Historical References that relate to the doctrines and practices of the Early Church, 33-100 A.D., by Lewis Manuwal; published by General Home Missions Division, 8855 Dunn Rd. Hazelwood, Missouri.

May the Lord bless you and keep you!
