Thank you for trying the DynaMetrics(TM) dynamic work flow analysis tools.

The program will run very well from a read-only device, but you may want
to copy the material to your hard disk. If you do run from a read-only
device, the name of an existing scratch directory should be given on
the command line. For example,

A:\MAIN C:\TEMP

The program maintains information in the home directory, or scratch
directory if given.

If you want to copy the files to a hard disk, create a home directory to
hold the files. The directory name does not matter. The program will
never write outside this directory unless you tell it to. If you want to
run DynaMetrics from any directory, the home directory must be in the
path as defined in autoexec.bat.

Windows 3.1 - You can use the Windows "Setup|Set Up Applications" to create
a Program Item for the MAIN.EXE file. You may want to establish a separate
Program Group for this item.

Windows 95 - You can use the Windows "Start|Programs|Windows Explorer" to
create a Shortcut for the MAIN.EXE file. Traverse to the directory where
you placed the files. Right click on MAIN.EXE, and click on "Create Shortcut".
You can then drag the shortcut item where ever you like.

To remove the program simply delete the directory you created and the
Program Item or Shortcut discussed above. There are no strange modifications
made to your system. You will also have to remove the home directory from
the path in autoexec.bat if you placed it there.

There are several sample models included. These are designed to show how
the pieces fit together, not to be precise models. If you look at
step1 .. step6 in order you will get a feel for how they work. The other
examples are the ones I use for testing. Some of them I have gotten from
field testers. Change them around all you like.
