INSTALLATION
Eye On Sunrise includes a setup routine that must be used to assure
proper program operation. The setup routine follows all standards and
conventions for proper file location and version checking.

You will need a copy of the file VBRUN300.DLL to complete the
installation and to run the program. This file is usually not included
with shareware programs on bulletin boards as it saves you a
considerable amount of time and expense in download time if you
already have it. You only need the one copy for any programs that
require it. If you do not already have it on your computer, you will
need to download it from a bulletin board or obtain it from your
shareware vendor. Once you have obtained it, copy it to your
\Windows\System directory before proceeding with the
installation. Otherwise, the installation will not be successful.

To install Eye On Sunrise, place a blank formatted high density floppy
disk in drive A: or B: and extract the files from the archive file to the
floppy disk (the archive file is usually named EOSUN.ZIP -- the single
file you downloaded or received from a vendor). Once all the
installation files are located on the floppy disk, run Windows and from
the Program Manager, select FILE-RUN and for command, type

	A:SETUP or
	B:SETUP

and press <ENTER>.

You may also extract the archived files to a scratch or temporary
directory on your hard drive and run the setup routine from that
directory.

DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILES TO YOUR \WINDOWS DIRECTORY!

After the setup program initializes, you will be presented with a
suggested drive and directory for the permanent program location.
You may accept the default, or enter a drive and directory of your
choice. If you do not accept the default, you should enter the name of a
new directory. If you install the program to an existing directory that
contains other files, it will be more difficult to delete Eye On Sunrise if
you decide you do not want to keep it. After that, installation will be
automatic and upon completion, a new program group and program
items will be created for you. If you wish, you may then drag the
program items to an existing group or your startup group and delete
the new group that has been created (consult your Windows manual
for details).

The setup program will copy the majority of files to the directory you
have created through the installation program. Additionally, some files
will be copied to your Windows and Windows System Directory. A list
of these files may be found in the next section, Removing Eye On
Sunrise, should you care to delete the program. Eye on Sunrise does
not modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, WIN.INI OR
SYSTEM.INI files. The installation uses version checking and will not
overwrite newer versions of some files if the version on the setup disk
is an older version. We strongly recommend you follow accepted
Windows practices in the location of the various files. If common files
(e.g. link libraries like DLLs and VBXs) exist in multiple locations
rather than in a common location (usually the directory
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM), you can have problems and strange errors
including GPFs if an older copy happens to be loaded in memory when
you run a program that requires a later version. These kinds of
problems can be very difficult to track down. Use of a setup program
that uses proper versioning techniques is the best way to assure trouble
free Windows operation. The Eye On Sunrise installation will copy all
files to the proper location.

NOTE: If you are running a substitute shell in place of the Windows
Program Manager, you may receive a DDE time-out message upon
completion of installation. Simply choose CLOSE at this dialog and
the installation should still be successful. If you have other difficulties,
try the installation with the Windows Program Manager running
before calling for technical support.

REMOVING EYE ON SUNRISE

To remove Eye On Sunrise if you no longer want it on your
computer, first erase any files in the Eye On Sunrise directory
and then remove the directory using the Windows File Manager or
with DOS commands.

Use the Windows Program Manager to delete the program icons and
the program group if applicable.

Eye On Sunrise creates a file in your Windows directory called
EOSUNRIS.INI. Delete this file using program manager.

The following files may have been installed to your Windows/System
directory. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE FILES MAY ALSO BE USED BY OTHER
PROGRAMS. You should delete them only if you are sure no other
program on your system uses these files. If you are unsure, copy
them to a "scratch" directory or to a floppy disk before deleting
them. That way, if it turns out another program uses them, you can
get them back.

VBRUN300.DLL (this file is required for all programs written in
Visual Basic version 3.0. It is recommended you do not remove this
file as many other program you have or may get down the road will
need it).
