Tray Folders! Version 1.00a By Robin Choo G. C...................................

Hi,
Thanks for registering or trying out Tray Folders!
Please take some time to read this document. It contain program description,
intruction as well as useful hints.

INTRODUCTION....................................................................

Tray Folders! is a Windows95 program that let you have very fast access to your
favourite drives, directories and files. Very much faster than you were to
access them using the Windows95 Explorer or Start Menu.

It has some very useful features that include:

- You can have up to 12 different tray folder in the system tray, each pointing
to a separate drive or directory or file.

- Left mouse clicking a tray folder will show you a menu displaying the files
and/or directories in the directory or drive. Try selecting an item in the
menu, directory or file, and you will discover the usefulness of the program.

- The types of file listed in the menu is configurable. So that, for example,
you could have a tray folder that display all your favourite wave files...

- Build in list of file type filters that caters for a large variety of file
  types combination.

- Left mouse double-clicking an icon will execute the configured default action
which can be either running an "event", showing the file open dialog to
select a file to open/run, showing a dialog to let you select the folder path
  and filters.

- Events can be playing a media file, playing the CDROM, executing a program...

- Right mouse clicking on a tray folder will show you the main menu which have
options for you to new a tray folder, delete the tray folder, checks the show
  directories option...

- The icon of the tray folder will change according to the event or path the
tray folder is pointing to. Try setting it to point to a drive, a directory,
the desktop, the briefcase, the CDROM... this is to help you identify the
folder easily. Also to help you identify the folder is the text box that
appears when you move your mouse to the tray folder. A text box will appear
to show you the current path and file types and event, if any, the folder is
  pointing to.

PROGRAM FILES...................................................................

There are only 3 files:
- this README.TXT file you are currently reading,
- the executable file ROBFOLDR.EXE, and
- the registration file REGISTER.TXT.

You must be wondering where is the usual help file?
Well, like the rest of my sharewares, this program is designed to be very
simple, intuitive and easy to use. I believe that at the first look, you will
know how to use the program. Also, the first time you run Tray Folders!, the
program will give you some examples on the type of tray folders you can have.
Go through each of them carefully and you will discover the usefulness of this
program. Moreover, I would not want to have another file to take up your
precious harddisk space. All the necessary program information are here and
after reading this file, you may delete it too.

INSTALLATION....................................................................

Too, there is no installation program that will take up your harddisk space.
Simply put the executable file ROBFOLDER.EXE anywhere you want and
create a "shortcut" of the file ROBFOLDER.EXE in the Windows directory:
      Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
so that the program will automatically be launched when Windows starts.

NOTE: Only one shortcut is needed, all the tray folders are managed by a single
Tray Folders! application.

HINTS...........................................................................

- Have a folder that points to each of your flobby disk drive. Access the files
in a flobby disk is faster through a tray folder.

- Have a tray folder that points to your CDROM, it provide faster access to the
files in the CDROM and also let you select any CD audio track to play.

- Create a "favourite" directory and you pull all your favourite applications
or files links there. Set a tray folder to point to there. Now you can access
your favourite applications or files with a single left click on the tray
  folder.
