The Unofficial ReBoot! Theme

This is a revised edition of the ReBoot theme I made previously for Windows
95. The icons are actually 32 X 32 BMP files renamed to ICO files. Using a
paint program it is easy to resize a graphic to the right size. The sound
files have been taken from various sources, but mostly "The" ReBoot web
site (Thanks to Joe Smith) along with the wallpaper and graphics for the
icons, from The Unoffical ReBoot Home Page:

	http://www.inwap.com/reboot/

This was the first site to put up the ReBoot themes on the web.

Also, thanks to Jean Gionet and the help he has readily availible about
creating themes. You can find his web page at:

	http://www.cyberbeach.net/~gionet/win95/themes/

To install simply extrat all the files to a temorary folder and run the
INSTALL.BAT file. It will place all the files in a folder named ReBoot!.
Run the batch and it will show you the parameters. This seems to be the
safest way to install a theme. It also makes it very easy to get rid of.
That is if you feel the need! Just delete the entire folder.

Thanks to: Derek (Lanzer) Liu for the slightly modified "install.bat" file
of which I liberally five fingered the code and modified myself!

Here is a list of files you need for the theme:

	Reboot 2.jpg
	ReBoot! (high color).Theme
	Glitch On.ico
	Glitch Off.ico
*.cur	(All files with the cur suffix)
*.ani	(All files with the ani suffix)
	ReBoot Start.wav
	ReBoot Restore Up.wav
	ReBoot Restore Down.wav
	ReBoot Default.wav
	ReBoot End.wav
	Pixlacus.wav
	Coolness.wav
	Dont Think So.wav
	Fizt.wav
	I Double Cross.wav
	Dude.wav
	Glitch Bleep.wav
	We Mainframers.wav
	Warning Incoming Game.wav

Warning Incoming Game.wav - I use for New Mail Notification. If you
installed Exchange then you should have this sound option. I installed
Exchange and then took it out... It left the sound option behind.
This works with MS Internet Mail & Newsreader beta program that
just came out. For some reason this will not self install in the
theme. You will need to do it manually from the Sounds option in
Control Panel.

I have also made Logo screens for startup and shutdown. These will
install also with the batch file and your present logos will be saved
with a bak extension. The startup one (Logo.sys) is animated. To see
how this is done check out Karl McMurdo's web page:

	http://www.nucleus.com/~kmcmurdo/win95logo.html

He has a slew of animated logo screens there and instructions on
how to make your own. I have included info five fingered from his
page that tells you how to install the logo.sys manualy. The text file
is called "Logo Install.txt". To install the other two simply do the same
things to the files Logos.sys and Logow.sys in the Windows folder.

After running Install.bat, or if you copied all the files by hand
because you don't trust me to get them into there proper places
(Hey, I'd be afraid too! But, I have checked this on my computer
and it works for me!) You can setup the theme by going to the
Desktop Themes menu in Control Panel and clicking on the down arrow
next to the Theme box. Scroll down to ReBoot! (High Color).Theme and
click it. The Install.bat file will put all the theme stuff in
C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\ReBoot! if you have these folders, or
C:\Windows\ReBoot! if you don't. I know that some of you decided to
place Plus! in some other place so this will give you more flexability.
The theme is forgiving and will find where you have setup your files
(at least that has been my experiance). It reads the Windows settings
to find your files in the folders you assigned to Plus! and Windows. I
have changed the wallpaper to a JPEG (and I know this will anoy some)
to keep the Zip file smaller. The last one I made was 2.8 meg! I also
took out the original wallpaper and now use another on my desktop. This
makes my theme different from the other one made by Paul Dunlop. His
theme I also like very much, check it out. He has better cursors than
mine and a lot of original stuff that I like.

In my next version I will try to make wallpaper that looks like Glitch.
If anyone can get there hands on a really good closeup of Glitch email me.
Also, if any of you coders out there would like to try your hand at a screen
saver... I had this idea of a game cube coming down. There is a graphic of
a cube at The Unofficial ReBoot Home Page.

My thanks to all of you who have given me comments and suggestions. I'm
sorry that the last Zip file gave so many of you problems. I hope the
installation of this version will be more to your liking! Also, if anyone
can get me some other graphics or wav files I would appreciate it.

Look for a new Star Trek Computer theme soon also. I've been working on this
for a while now.

Enjoy!
