Welcome to Volume 2! Our goal is to make each disc completely unique from
its predecessors. As such, you may find that some things things you would
expect to find here missing; likely it is on Volume 1. To check, load the file
VOLUME1.LST for a complete list of all the archives on the first volume. You will
probably want to collect every volume to ensure you have the definitive OS/2
shareware collection.

The Arawak OS/2 Shareware CD-ROM is designed to be easy to use and to
provide logical access to our collection of shareware. The first thing you may
wish to do is to run the program INSTALL.CMD. This will copy the browser program
to your hard disk and create a program object on the desktop for it. If you'd rather
not put anything on your hard drive you can always just run it from the CD drive
folder. We recommend that anyone using Volume 1 delete the old object and run
the new install script.

Not every directory on the disc is accessable from the browser. Certain
folders are not for use in this fashion. The \BIN directory contains
executables for several compression utilities such as unzip, arc, and unarj.
Similiarly, the FONTS\PSFONTS contains uncompressed fonts ready for your use.
In the ICONS directory is a modest collection of uncompressed icons. We didn't
include too many so that you don't have to sort through a maze of them.

For BBS sysops, we have provided FILES.BBS in each directory containing
archives, and a master list in FILES.BBS in the root directory. The file
VOLUME1.TXT is a list of all the archives on Volume 1 with their descriptions.

Special thanks to Janet Gobeille, formerly of IBM PSP, for her support of us
and other OS/2 companies and individuals. We hope that IBM realizes their
mistake in 'surplussing' her and returns her to a position where she can
continue to do what she does so well - promote OS/2!
