                         Windows [TM] Compatibility:

This program can be run from inside Windows [TM], version 3, and comes with
the 'PIF' file to do so. During the install process for Your Collector [TM],
the associated 'PIF' file has already been moved into \WINDOWS and C:\ for
your convenience.

Method one to run Your Collector [TM] from the File Manager:

Bring up the Windows [TM]. The Program Manager is central to the operation
of Windows [TM] and starts automatically whenever you start Windows [TM]. It
continues to run as long as you are using Windows [TM]. Program Manager
opens on your desktop with the Main Group window open inside it. The Main
Group contains these Windows [TM] system applications: File Manager, Control
Panel, Print Manager, Clipboard, DOS Prompt, and Windows Setup.

File Manager appears in the first position in the Main Group window of
Program Manager. To start File Manager, double-click the File Manager
program item icon or use the LEFT or RIGHT ARROW to highlight the File
Manager program item icon. Then press [ENTER] to choose Open from the File
menu. File Manager displays the directory tree window for your current disk
drive, and shows the structure of its directories and subdirectories.

In Windows [TM] 3.0, it begins with the root directory. A copy of the 'PIF'
file for Your Collector [TM] is located in 'C:\', the root directory of your
computer. With the directory icon resting on the root directory, double-
click the mouse or press [ENTER] on your keypad. At that point, Windows [TM]
will show you a listing of all files in 'C:\'.

In Windows [TM] 3.1, the directory tree window defaults to C:\WINDOWS. To
the right of the directory tree is a listing of all files in C:\WINDOWS. A
copy of the 'PIF' file for this program is located here too.

Whether you have Windows [TM] 3.0 or Windows [TM] 3.1, using your
navigational arrows, please locate this file:

                                  ACS3.PIF

After you have found this file and it becomes highlighted, press the [ENTER]
key once. At that point, Windows [TM] will run Your Collector [TM] normally.
Once you are finished with Your Collector [TM] and exit that program, Windows
[TM] will bring you back to the point where you have left off inside File
Manager.

Method two to run Your Collector [TM] using the Run Command:

Choose Run from the File menu in Program Manager or File Manager. The Run
dialog box will appear. Please enter this text into the dialog box:

                                  ACS3.PIF

As with method one, Windows [TM] will run Your Collector [TM] normally. Once
you are finished with Your Collector [TM] and exit that program, Windows [TM]
will bring you back to the point where you have left off inside Windows [TM].

Method three to run Your Collector [TM] by adding a Program Item:

Once inside The Program Manager, bring up the Main Group. Choose New from
the File menu. The Program Manager will the display the New Program Object
dialog box, with two selections to choose from: 1) Program Group; 2) Program
Item. Make sure to select 'Program Item', followed by [ENTER]. At that
point, the 'Program Item Properties' dialog box appears. Please enter these
values:

Description: Your Collector <=== you enter this

Command Line: ACS3.PIF <=== you enter this also

Upon your completing the dialog box, the Main Group will reappear. This
time, though, it contains a new icon, 'DOS', below which is displayed 'Your
Collector'. By double clicking this new, permanent icon, you can then run
this program.

As with method one, Windows [TM] will run Your Collector [TM] normally. Once
you are finished with Your Collector [TM] and exit that program, Windows [TM]
will bring you back to the Main Group.

Windows [TM] must be run in the 386 enhanced mode to avail itself of the
memory management features in the enclosed PIF file. If not already in the
386 enhanced mode, please enter the following command in \WINDOWS:

WIN /3 <============= you enter this,
                                             followed by 'Enter'

If your computer appears to be unable to launch this program within Windows
[TM], yet you are sure you have enough memory to do so, make sure that any
large hard drive caches are disabled in either CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT.
One candidate to identify for disabling is:
