User Supported Prescription Writing and Record
                                  Keeping Software

                                VERSION 1.2 - README

Thank you for taking the time to look into the Prescription
Assistant. I think you will find it to be a useful tool in your
          medical practice.

Before attempting to modify anything to fit your practice pattern
please take the time to print the program documentation on this
disk (RXASSIST.DOC) using the following command...

                         COPY RXASSIST.DOC PRN

It will take a while but will be worth your time.

After working through the tutorial you should modify the program
for your practice (using a working copy of the original).

               1. Delete the file RXHEAD.DAT...

                         DEL RXHEAD.DAT <return>

               2. Delete the file DOCTOR.DAT...

                         DEL DOCTOR.DAT <return>

               3. Run the program CODE...

                         CODE <return>

Fill in the information requested ... this will create
the printed information for the top of each prescrip-
tion. If you are a multiple physician setting you
should fill in the clininc or hospital name instead
                  of your own.

               4. Run the program RXMGR...

                         RXMGR <return>

Select the add physicians option from the main menu
(see the users manual if you have any questions) and
provide the information requested for yourself and
other physicians who will be using the system.

               5. Now you're ready to put the Prescription Assistant to use.

Please help us to keep the user supported software concept alive.

Try out the program and share it with others. If you find it
worthwhile please send what you consider to be a fair price for
          the software to...

                    Gregory W. Baumann, M.D.
                    Applied Data Services
                    5401 N. Dearing Road
                    Parma, MI 49269

We feel $30.00 is a fair value price given the fact that other
prescription writing software is being sold for $100.00 and up.

Your comments regarding bugs or improvements which could be made
          would also be appreciated.
