SUREFIRE CONTACTS is a Smart Document application designed to run
with SUREFIRE - THE SMART DOCUMENT PROCESSOR. This contact
management system has all the features you'd expect; a contact
database, mail-merge into form letters, a daily agenda and timely
reports. But it's what you don't expect that will make you more
productive than ever.

You'll be able to use the vast capabilities of Surefire to customize
Surefire Contacts into your own unique contact management system. 
Maybe you want to keep financial data about your clients. Or, you 
want to store information on your distributors, suppliers, associates 
and others. Perhaps automatically generating quotes and proposals will
save you hours of time. You may even change any of the standard reports 
to fit your needs, or add completely new ones. All this and more is 
possible with Surefire!

RUNNING SUREFIRE CONTACTS

To run SUREFIRE CONTACTS, change directory (cd) to the CONTACTS
directory and type "..\surefire contacts" at the DOS prompt.

When Surefire Contacts comes up, you will be looking at the Surefire
Contacts Main menu. This menu offers the choices: Profiles, Agenda,
Reports, Correspondence, Accounting and Off-Hours. Move among the
choices by pressing the up and down arrow keys and then press Enter
to select a choice. At any time, you can press F-2 to get help for
the current Surefire Contacts screen.

You can access the 7 Surefire pull down menus by pressing the F-10
key and the arrow keys. Pressing F-1 will gives you a description of
the general Surefire features according to the currently displayed 
menu or window. Press ALT+X to leave Surefire Contacts


ON-LINE DOCUMENTATION

Included with your evaluation copy of Surefire Contacts there is a
companion 40 page version of the Surefire Contacts User's Guide.
This can be found in the text file, "sfcontac.txt". You may print
this file or look at it by using the DOS command "type".

When running Surefire Contacts, on-line context sensitive help is
available by pressing F-2. Press Esc to close the help window.



REGISTRATION

To use SUREFIRE CONTACTS after your initial free evaluation period
of 30 days, you must register your usage with Piaf, Inc. You may
only register SUREFIRE CONTACTS after you have registered SUREFIRE -
THE SMART DOCUMENT PROCESSOR.

If you have not already registered SUREFIRE - THE SMART DOCUMENT 
PROCESSOR, you may register it at the same time by choosing one of
two registration options shown on the registration form. The fee 
for Surefire Contacts alone is $19 (plus 4 s&h). With registration 
of Surefire Contacts you will receive registered diskettes, technical 
support for Contacts and a bound printed version of the Surefire 
Contacts User's Guide. Print out a copy of the registration form 
(register.txt), fill it in, then mail it to:

But if you are using Surefire Contacts, please register. This is the
only way we get paid. We do not receive anything from bulletin
