    Clock.com Version 2.31
    ======================

    Clock.com is a RAM resident clock that displays the time and date
    in the upper right hand corner of the screen. The companion program
    Clkinst may be used to customize the color of the clock. Clock also
    supports a hot key which may be used to toggle its display on and off.
    Clock requires 400 bytes of memory. Expanded or extended memory is not
    required.

    The program NOW is just thrown in for fun essentially. It retrieves
    the time and date from DOS and displays it on the screen. Now is a
    non-TSR program.

    There are many changes for version 2.31 of Clock.com. These changes
    are outlined in the file WHATSNEW.231.

    To give clock a quick try, see the section "Getting Started Fast" in
    clock.doc.

    Standard Disclaimer
    ===================

    Since there are many possible combinations of command line
    switches, hot keys, etc..., it is just about impossible for
    me to an exhaustively test of all the possibilities for bugs. I
    believe that I have caught all the problems. But, a few unpleasant
    surprises may still be lurking. :( If you stumble across a bug,
    please send a short message outlining the problem to my internet
    account (javurek@msen.com) and mention Clock 2.31 in the subject
    header.  Thanks.

    Mail indicating that you are not having any problems and that you like
    the program is always welcome. I've spent quite a bit of time on this
    project, and it is nice to know that somebody besides me and a few other
    folks are using Clock.com.

    =============

    My other contribution to the world of freeware is a VGA screen saver
    called VGAsave. The current version is 2.00 and is available via
    anonymous ftp as VSAVE200.ZIP

    VGAsave features:

          - A hot key which can be used to blank the screen.

          - Detects mouse movement in addition to the keyboard to
             restore a blanked screen.

          -  User selected time out.

          -  User selected hot key.

          -  Help screen.

          - On and off options to enable and disable the screen saver
             once it is resident in memory.

          - An interactive menu to control the screen saver after
             loading, as well as, a command line interface.

          - Minimal resident memory requirements -- 400 bytes to be exact
             (480 bytes if the int 33h handler is installed).
             Expanded/Extended memory is not required.

          - VGAsave is windows aware. VGAsave will automatically disable
             itself when it detects that windows has been loaded and
             re-enable itself when windows has been exited.

    System requirements:  VGA

    So, If you have a VGA monitor and are looking for a screen saver, give
    VGAsave a try.
