This is the EPSMAN evaluation kit. It may be freely copied and passed on
to others provided the regulations in DISTRIB.TXT are observed. EPSMAN is
shareware. This evaluation kit is fully functional; the EPSMAN program will
however print a diagonal line through the output it creates. Thus you
have a fair chance to test it and see whether it meets your needs.

EPSMAN is a command line utility that manipulates and prints EPS files. EPS
or Encapsulated PostScript is a variety of PostScript that is meant to be
included by other programs that create PostScript Documents.

EPSMAN runs under DOS or in a DOS box under any of the Microsoft Windows
platforms.

This kit should contain the following files:

\epsmanu\epsmanu.exe EPSMAN executable
\epsmanu\distrib.txt Distribution rules

\epsmanu\iepsman.htm HTML Introduction
\epsmanu\readme.txt Readme 1st file
\epsmanu\register.txt How to register

\epsmanu\epsman.rtf Documentation in Rich Text Format
\epsmanu\epsman.htm Documentation in HTML Format

\epsmanu\bear.eps EPS Test file
\epsmanu\bear2upu.bat Batch file to create a 2-up EPS file
\epsmanu\tepsmanu.bat Batch file to test EPSMAN (examples)

The EPSMAN tool and others, also public domain software and freeware, can also
be found in the World Wide Web at the following URL:

How to get going
----------------
It's a good idea to first run TEPSMANU.BAT and to compare the printouts
(you either need a PostScript printer or GhostScript for this) with the
commands that created them.

Installation
------------
There is no real installation required. Just copy the executable program
EPSMANU.EXE to a directory in your PATH where you keep utility programs
(e.g. C:\BIN).

Support
-------
If you have questions or problems related to the EPSMAN utility please send
e-mail to michael.walter@mail.com. You can write in English or German.
