IntelliMedia Corp. has begun shipping two new, faster 66 Mhz models of its'
486-based Windows multimedia LCD presentation systems. The IntelliView
MPS-200 offers 1024 x 768 resolution with up to 185,193 true digital
colors, unparalleled video quality and convenience in delivering Windows
multimedia presentations with an overhead projector. The MPS-100, a 640 x
480 VGA resolution LCD panel with up to 16.7 million digital colors, has
also been added to the IntelliView line.

With a 486/66Mhz processor built-in, portable IntelliView systems require
no video input from an external computer. Consequently, the extensive
calibration, data loss, jittery image and color problems typically
associated with a standard LCD projection panel's analog-to-digital
conversion of video are eliminated.

Pricing and Availability

The high-resolution IntelliView MPS-200 features a 10.4 inch diagonal color
LCD panel and 486/66 processor for a suggested retail price of $21,450
CDN. The MPS-100 features an 8.4-inch diagonal color LCD panel and 486/66
processor for $11,450 CDN. The IntelliView line of products, including new
models MPS-100 and MPS-200, are available through a national network of
A/V dealers.

All-In-One Windows MultiMedia Made Easy

Designed for demanding Windows multimedia presentations, the new
IntelliView MPS-series feature active matrix color TFT LCDs. The systems
include two internal speakers with 16-bit digital stereo sound, are
Microsoft Windows Sound System compatible, and allow complete audio
mixing. IntelliView also provides stereo audio input and output
connectors, a microphone input jack, and a headphone jack for external
speakers. An infrared remote controls the mouse pointer and commands the
IntelliView system to change slides, adjust screen contrast and modify
speaker volume up to 25 feet away. Software tools enable users to
incorporate audio and video special effects in any Windows presentation
for added impact.

An optional Digital Options card enables IntelliView systems to display
NTSC, PAL, or SECAM images from VCRs, camcorders, and laser disc players.
Its' digital design allows mixing of two video sources to create
picture-in-picture without the usual toggling between video inputs. The
card also includes a PCMCIA Type I, II or III expansion slot and CD-ROM
interface that is SCSI-2 compatible.

IntelliView Standard System Specifications

The IntelliView MPS-200 and MPS-100 are part of the 486-based line of
presentation systems from IntelliMedia that weigh under eight pounds and
eliminates the need for inconvenient transport and set up of an external
PC. Maximum system dimensions are 12.8" W x 15.7" L x 2.6" H. The new
IntelliView systems include a 486DX/2 66 Mhz microprocessor, a
math-coprocessor and 8MB of RAM expandable to 40MB. Also built into the
systems is a 250 MB hard drive and a 3.5 inch 1.44MB floppy disk drive.
Serial, Parallel, PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard ports, plus a video port
that supports an external monitor are standard as well. MS-DOS 6.22
Windows 3.11 and runtime player utilities for the leading presentation
graphics software such as Power Point, Freelance and Harvard Graphics come
pre-installed on all IntelliView systems. An IntelliView carrying case and
backlight are also available.
