OS/2 WORLD PRODUCERS AND LEADING IBM USER GROUP ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR
CONCURRENT SUMMER CONFERENCES

Miller Freeman, Inc. and GUIDE Join Forces This July at Hynes Convention
Center

San Francisco -- March 1, 1995 -- Miller Freeman, Inc. announced today that
the second annual OS/2 World Conference & Exhibition will be held
concurrently with the GUIDE Summer '95 Conference and Solutions Fair. The
unique agreement to hold the shows concurrently will bring together OS/2
developers and corporate users at Hynes Convention Center in Boston from
July 18-21. A single conference pass will allow admission to either show,
and exhibit floor hours will coincide.

"By joining together we add tremendous value to both shows," said Anastasia
Kellow, show director for OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition. "As
interest in the OS/2 operating system grows, it is important to promote
communication between technology developers, technology users, and the
growing group that is somewhere in between."

GUIDE (an acronym for Guidance for Users of Integrated Data Processing
Equipment) is an independent organization for corporate users of IBM
equipment and services, established in 1956. With direct support from IBM,
GUIDE focuses on solving information technology (IT) business and
technical problems across a wide range of distributed environments, and on
defining the future of IT.

"This summer's GUIDE conference will focus on platforms as springboards to
open systems, and OS/2 is the leading platform for connectivity to
enterprise systems," according to Linda Mainord, GUIDE president. "OS/2
World will offer GUIDE members a great opportunity for exposure to indepth
OS/2 discussions."

The long-standing IBM user group will open all of it's 800 sessions, forums
and presentations to OS/2 World conference attendees, and an open flow of
traffic will connect the two exhibitions.

GUIDE members will also have the opportunity to attend lectures and
workshops at the OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition, which includes
substantial explorations of issues that relate to OS/2. Topics range from
developing multimedia applications to explorations of Warp and using OS/2
to reach the Internet.

OS/2 World Conference & Exhibition, the only independent event devoted
exclusively to IBM's OS/2 operating system, is presented by Miller
Freeman, Inc., the nation's third largest producer of conferences and
trade exhibitions. The OS/2 World Conference & Exhibition is sponsored by
OS/2 Magazine, OS/2 Developer, LAN Magazine and Stacks: The Network
Journal and is produced in cooperation with IBM's Personal Software
Products Division. Other shows presented by the Electronics/Design Group
of Miller Freeman include: Autodesk University, MechanCAD, Embedded System
Conferences, PCB Design Conference and Surface Mount International.
