PROXIM AND FUJITSU EXPAND STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP

Fujitsu Integrates Proxim's RangeLAN2 Technology Into New Stylistic 500 RF
Computer

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., February 27, 1995 -- Proxim, Inc., a leading
supplier of wireless data communications products, announced today an
expanded strategic relationship with Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc.
(FPSI), a premier provider of mobile computing solutions. The expanded
strategic relationship is based on FPSI's integration of Proxim's
award-winning RangeLAN2 technology into Fujitsu's highly successful
Stylistic 500, an Intel 486DX2-50 Windows-based tablet computer. The
Stylistic 500 RF represents the third joint effort between Fujitsu and
Proxim to deliver state-of-the-art integrated wireless handheld computers
to the mobile computing marketplace.

"We're gratified that Fujitsu, one of the leading providers of high-powered
Windows-based handheld computers, has once again selected Proxim as its
strategic partner for wireless LAN technology," said David King, Proxim's
president and CEO. "Fujitsu's continuing leadership in the area of
wireless LAN integration has resulted in another industry-first product
that meets an immediate and growing market need in application
environments such as health care, retailing, hospitality and financial
services."

Stylistic 500 RF

The Stylistic 500 RF Windows-based tablet measures 7.2" x 10.7" x 1.5" and
is powered by an Intel 486DX2-50 CPU. It features parallel, serial,
keyboard and floppy disk drive ports; four MB of RAM expandable to 20MB; a
Type I/II/III PCMCIA version 2.0 expansion slot; an 8-inch transmissive
backlit, 64-level VGA screen; support for an external VGA monitor; and
optional 105 or 170 MB PCMCIA hard disk drives. The handheld tablet
supports MS-DOS 6.2, Windows for Pen Computing, PenDOS and PenRight
operating systems. The only tablet computer to operate on standard
Lithium-Ion batteries, the Stylistic 500 RF will be available in the first
quarter of 1995.

"Our users have increasingly demanded fully integrated wireless
connectivity as a mandatory element in their mobile computing solution,"
said Lou Panetta, executive vice president of Fujitsu Personal Systems.
"Fujitsu's continuing partnership with Proxim demonstrates our mutual
commitment to provide customers with the most robust and highly integrated
wireless data communications capability available in the market."

most advanced wireless network architecture of any product in its class.
RangeLAN2 provides an uncompressed data rate of 1.6 megabits per second
(Mbps) per channel across each of 15 channels, permitting an aggregate
wireless network bandwidth of up to 24 Mbps, with state-of-the-art
features such as seamless roaming, advanced power management, the
IEEE-endorsed high throughput modulation approach and site survey
diagnostics.

The RangeLAN2 product family includes RangeLAN2/PCMCIA for notebook PCs and
handheld computers, RangeLAN2/ISA for desktop PCs and servers, and
