ROCKWELL ADDS INSTANT INTERNET ACCESS TO NETHOPPER DIAL-UP ROUTERS

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 28, 1995) --- Rockwell Network Systems, a business
unit of Rockwell, today announced it is adding Instant LAN Dial
capabilities to the NetHopper family of remote access products to provide
users with a quick, hassle-free means of establishing an Internet account.
The application works in conjunction with Performance Systems
International's (PSINet's) turnkey Instant LAN Dial service, also being
announced at the NetWorld+Interop '95 Las Vegas trade show.

Instant LAN Dial connects a local area network (LAN) and the Internet via a
dial-up link and electronically configures a customer's Internet account
with minimal user intervention. The user-friendly application allows
customers to register their domain name, network IP address, and other
important IP hosts. This on-line process completely bypasses normal
registration processes which can take as much as 30 days. Once
registration to PSInet is complete, the registration server automatically
configures the NetHopper router and the customer is connected to the
Internet. The process is expected to take no more than 20 minutes.

"This start-up software sets PSI apart from other Internet Service
Providers," said Frank Roys, Rockwell Network Systems director of
marketing. "By offering Instant LAN Dial, Rockwell provides users
instantaneous access to the wealth of resources available on the
Internet."

"Integrating an organization's LAN into the Internet with current
registration and configuration processes can take up to four weeks," said
Steve Schoffstall, PSI director of sales and marketing. "With Instant LAN
Dial, we have developed the infrastructure to electronically streamline
the process to just 20 minutes. This is what today's market is looking
for."

PSI also becomes a member of Rockwell's FastLink Partners Program. The
program is expected to save many customers of remote client/server
applications thousands of dollars in wide-area charges annually. Extensive
filtering capabilities in the NetHopper eliminate unnecessary dialing. As
a result, mutual customers experience a significant cost savings through
reduced WAN use.

Instant LAN Dial software will be included with future releases of
Rockwell's NetHopper dial-up router software. Existing NetHopper customers
under warranty can upgrade for no charge.

Rockwell NetHoppers have been available under PSINet's LAN Dial service
since 1992, offering users "on-demand" access to the Internet using
ordinary telephone lines and a V.32bis or V.34 modem. Rockwell NetHopper
products provide the most extensive filtering and spoofing features in the
industry. When these link-optimizing features are combined with Instant
LAN Dial, they reduce line charges and eliminate network hassle.
