The Pandora Directive

Tex Murphy Returns with a New Mystery

---------------------------------------------------------------------
It's April, 2043 and you--as Tex Murphy, the last of the old-world style
gumshoes--find yourself racing against time in the most dangerous game of
all. What is the truth behind the rumored UFO crash at Roswell, New
Mexico? Why did the military suddenly shut down and seal off the Roswell
complex? And why the frequent references to the lost Mayan civilization?

It starts out like a thousand other cases. $500 a day (plus expenses) to
track down a missing person. As you pick up Thomas Malloy's trail, you
realize you're not the only one looking for him. By the time you discover
that he's ex-military and knows what really happened on July 6, 1947, it
's too late. The government's biggest secret of the twentieth century is
loose and you 're trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the most
powerful and ruthless agency in the world.

September 22, 1995 -- Access Software's sleuth, Tex Murphy, saved the free
world last time in "Under A Killing Moon." Now the trench-coated,
tart-tongued PI is at it again. Still living in post-Apocalyptic San
Francisco in the year 2043, Tex is faced, once again, with the usual
multitude of problems.

Chris Jones is back, reprising the now-famous role of Tex Murphy. Joining
him are several Hollywood actors, including ex-Charlie's Angel, Tanya
Roberts and sci-fi staples, John Agar and Kevin McCarthy. Also starring is
Barry Corbin, the ex-astronaut of the gone and much-lamented "Northern
Exposure." Veteran Australian director, Adrian Carr, joined the project
and expertly guided the actors through the $4 million epic, and through
their paces in the imaginary world of bluescreen and digitized sets.

Having broken all Access Software sales records, "Under A Killing Moon," is
still selling briskly since it's 4th quarter '94 release and is in the
hands of 400,000 gainers. But now the spotlight will shift to the upcoming
"Pandora Directive." when it hits the stores January 1996.

The big bucks being spent in this production have made it possible for the
Salt Lake City based company to hire all professional actors and stunt
people. Only accomplished stunt men and women will be taking and
delivering the physical punishment. While the lines will be delivered by
an entire cast comprised of skilled actors. It's a sure thing that
computer gamers will notice the improvement immediately.

But the improvements are more than just skin-deep. The storyline of Pandora
has been developed further to have no less than seven different endings,
depending on the paths the players take. And to assist the "hard-core"
gainers, there will be two levels of play. Level 1 will have the complete
on-line hint system to guide the user though the puzzles and the difficult
parts of the game. The second level has no hints, but rewards players with
higher bonus points and extra puzzles.

The novelization of "The Pandora Directive," written by Aaron Connors (who
wrote both the script and the screenplay for Pandora and UAKM) is already
in print and on bookstore shelves, waiting to entice new audiences to the
exciting world of Tex Murphy.

Access Software's unique Virtual World engine will immerse you in a
completely interactive three-dimensional world, and will allow you full
freedom of movement. Multiple camera angles, a new film noir look, and a
cast of professionals will insure that "The Pandora Directive" will be the
blockbuster hit of 1996.
