Incorporated today announced the availability of Version 4.1 of Adobe
Illustrator for Windows, an update of the industry's leading illustration
and design program. Version 4.1 adds compatibility for the Microsoft
Windows 95 operating system, enabling users to run the 16-bit application
under the new system. The update ships on floppy disks, adds TrueType
support and comes bundled with Adobe Type Manager (ATM) 3.02, Adobe
Separator, Adobe Streamline 3.0 for Windows, Adobe TypeAlign, Adobe Type
On Call, a CD-ROM containing more than 2,000 typefaces available for
purchase, with 220 fonts that can be unlocked at no charge, all Windows
95-compatible. In addition, Adobe Illustrator 4.1 for Windows, including
the bundled software, carries a special price of $495, a $200 savings off
the original price.

Adobe Illustrator is the industry's leading illustration and page design
tool, offering users unlimited creative options and unsurpassed precision.
Users can create, manipulate and refine artwork with advanced features for
editing, text handling, color support and more. Adobe Illustrator 4.1 for
Windows is bundled with a variety of additional Adobe software, including:
Adobe Streamline, which converts any black-and-white or color bitmapped
image into PostScript language artwork that is fully editable and ready to
cut and paste into Adobe Illustrator or to open in graphics and page
layout programs. Users can convert scanned images as is or edit with
powerful preprocessing tools.

Adobe Type Manager, a utility for producing sharp type for the screen and
for printing at any size, plus multiple master type technology.

Type On Call, a CD-ROM containing more than 2,000 typefaces available for
purchase, with 220 Type 1 fonts that can be unlocked at no charge upon
registration.

Price and Availability

Adobe Illustrator 4.1 for Windows is available immediately through Adobe
Authorized Resellers at a special suggested retail price of $495. The
application ships on floppy disks only. Registered users of any version of
Adobe Illustrator for Windows may upgrade for $49. Users of Macromedia
FreeHand for Windows and any version of CorelDraw can upgrade for $149.
