America Online Announces the Launch of New Online Health Area

Greenhouse Partner Health Responsibility Systems expands The Better Health
And Medical Forum with the addition of MEDLINE

Vienna, VA -- October 12, 1995 -- America Online, Inc. announced today that
it has created a Health Area to provide information and resources about
healthcare, fitness, and well being to its more than 3.5 million members.
In response to some of the most common and pressing health care topics
confronting American families today, America Online offers consumers a
wealth of online information and resources. AOL members can access the new
area online at keyword: Health.

Health ResponsAbility System's Better Health & Medical Forum is an integral
part of America Online's new Health Area, offering a home medical guide,
information about men's, women's, and children's health, addictions, and
alternative medicine. In a related announcement today, The Better Health &
Medical Forum announced it will provide AOL members access to MEDLINE,
through the National Library of Medicine, the world's leading
bibliographic database of medical information.

"It's a unique combination of professional medical information and
community that draws members to The Better Health & Medical Forum," said
Ted Leonsis, President of America Online Services Company. "We have
created our Health Area to showcase this service and to expand its scope.
Healthcare is the top priority for all Americans and we are proud to serve
this need so comprehensively."

Offering factual information through databases and access to the National
Library of Medicine's MEDLINE, general updates through areas such as the
first on-line, interactive magazine, "HealthFocus," and interpersonal
communication through more than 1,000 message boards and on-line self-help
groups, The Better Health & Medical Forum has tapped into the complicated
needs of a public that senses a loss of control over a system with a
powerful impact on the lives of families. At the same time, the service
addresses communication needs of medical professionals, who seek
opportunities to discuss concerns and ideas through public as well as peer
forums.

"For the first time in history, consumers have access to MEDLINE in a low
cost, easy-to-use manner. There are no premium prices. No hidden
surcharges. MEDLINE's extensive content, coupled with the opportunity to
connect with other individuals with similar life challenges, is a powerful
combination for empowerment and informed health care decision making,"
said Elin Silveous, President of Health ResponseAbility Systems. "People
helping people is what our dynamic, caring online community is all
about."

AOL's New Health Area houses over 30 community forums that span a variety
of topics and special interest groups from AIDS to fitness to women's
health. Content, community and mutual support are at the heart of the
forums which feature easy-to-access sites on the World Wide Web, message
boards, chat rooms, software libraries, and information from national
voluntary health organizations. The area also details information about
the more than 100 monthly online mutual support groups that meet in the
Personal Empowerment Network's conference and chat rooms.

Members can also access health related content from magazines including
Scientific American, Elle, BackPacker Online, Bicycling Online, Consumer
Reports, Woman's Day, and later this month, Health Magazine. Later this
month, AOL will expand it's health offerings by giving members access to
Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary and a drug reference handbook.
