a/Soft Ports nu/TPU to Windows 95

October 20, 1995, Bedford, NH -- a/Soft Development, Inc. has ported its
text editor, nu/TPU v4.1, to Microsoft's newest operating system: Windows
95. a/Soft will be debuting this latest version of its popular
multi-platform application development tool at the DECUS 95/San Francisco
trade show December 4-6, 1995 at the Moscone Center.

At DECUS, attendees will see nu/TPU v4.1 running under Windows 95, taking
advantage of the new operating system's features. nu/TPU is a full 32-bit
application, thereby increasing its speed and productivity. nu/TPU for
Windows 95 also supports long filenames. Users are no longer constrained
by the former 8.3 limitation on MS Windows and DOS. Unlike other editors
that can only run in a DOS window under MS Windows, nu/TPU has native MS
Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, and MS DOS versions, allowing users to
edit text directly under whatever environment they are running.

nu/TPU is modeled after and compatible with Digital's Text Processing
Utility (TPU), bringing its EVE, EDT, and WPS interfaces to non-OpenVMS
platforms. nu/TPU is the ideal migration tool for OpenVMS users that are
forced to work on multiple operating systems or that must migrate from
OpenVMS to another platform that is replacing their legacy system. Moving
among platforms is seamless with nu/TPU, offering users a familiar editing
interface while working in an unfamiliar environment.

Features of nu/TPU v4.1 include unlimited files and buffers, prebuilt EVE,
EDT, and WPS editing interfaces, full programmability, rectangular box cut
and paste, unlimited undo, MS Windows and Motif support, spawn and shell
capabilities, word wrap, 80- and 132-column support, wildcard search and
replace, availability on 40+ platforms, and much more.

Also Offers New World Wide Web Site

a/Soft Development has also created a World Wide Web site on the Internet
for prospective and current customers to learn what's going on with a/Soft
and nu/TPU. Features of the WWW page include product information,
technical support, TPU extensions, LSE product information, and other
relevant topics. Visitors to a/Soft's home page can also download a
demonstration version of nu/TPU v4.1. They may then evaluate the editor at
their leisure, and a simple phone call will turn the demo version into a
full-fledged production version of nu/TPU.
