Enhanced IDE (EIDE) for Micro Channel

Atronics International Inc. has announced their ATI-MC-120: a Micro Channel
to IDE interface card designed to expand the IBM PS/2 computer's storage
capabilities. When combined with the new, low-cost, high-performance EIDE
drives, the ATI-MC-120 provides a storage system with a low
cost-per-megabyte, according to the company. It also provides increased
performance over existing ESDI or SCSI systems. Users can mount a 2.5-inch
IDE hard drive directly onto the controller.

Since none of the IBM PS/2 Micro Channel systems provide hard drive type
configuration capability, the ATI-MC-120 automatically recognizes and
configures the drives. According to Ben Chen, President of Atronics, "This
makes installation easy and delivers a true Plug N Play solution."

The ATI-MC-120 is a full sized, 16-bit adapter that can be installed as the
primary or secondary controller. See Page 2 for specifications.
