AT&T expands "Telecommuter" product line

October 17, 1995 -- BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -- The road to telecommuting just
got wider, faster and smoother.

AT&T's Global Business Communications Systems announced today three new
telecommuter products that give employees easy access to their corporate
phone systems and computer networks while at home or on the road.

"At a time when telecommuting is growing leaps and bounds nationwide, we're
proud to unveil these leading-edge products," said Bruce Borri, general
manager of Data Access Products. "Our offers combine voice and data
communications in a way to make home offices truly economical, efficient
and effective."

GBCS has long offered systems to help remotely located workers link back to
central facilities. But these newest offers make remote offices virtual
extensions of a headquarters location. The new products include:

DEFINITY EXTENDER

This system provides remote access, over standard analog phone lines,
to the features of a company's DEFINITY Communications System.
It also provides for simultaneous two-way data transmissions
at speeds up to 9.6 kilobits per second, allowing remote workers
to see the name and number of the person who is calling, and to
send and receive digital communications while talking on the phone.
The DEFINITY Extender works especially well for remote customer
 service agents and satellite offices.

AT&T ACCULINK BANDWIDTH CONTROLLERS

AT&T has two new ACCULINK Bandwidth Controllers that connect remote
users -- telecommuters, mobile workers, customers, vendors --
 to corporate computer networks.

THE MAX 4000

This is a network hub that significantly reduces the cost and
complexity of remotely accessing corporate LANs and is compatible
with virtually all network services. The MAX 4000 can be used by
financial firms, for instance, to give brokers direct access to
groupware or corporate databases from home offices. It also can give
customers and vendors access to company resources for inventory
scheduling, product ordering and other LAN-based services.

THE PIPELINE 25

This is a remote ISDN access bridge/router that connects workstations
on an Ethernet LAN at rates up to 128 kilobits per second. With
optional data compression, rates can go as high as 512 kilobits
per second. The Pipeline 25 is especially valuable when used
by remotely located employees who send and receive large files.
It also works well for those who need access to ISDN services
such as Caller ID and special high-security connections.

All of these products provide security protection and password options.
Prices range from approximately $1,200 for a basic, single-user system up
to $60,000 for full implementation of a corporatewide telecommuting
solution.

On-site hardware installation and activation of software can be arranged
for additional fees. GBCS also offers technical services for specialized
applications and PBX engineering and testing.

Customers interested in finding out more about AT&T's telecommuting
solutions can call their account executive or 1-800-247-1212.
