AT&T, Novell will integrate WorldNet Service, PerfectOffice

October 27, 1995 -- BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -- AT&T and Novell, Inc. today
announced plans to integrate the AT&T WorldNet dial-up Internet Service
with Novell's award-winning PerfectOffice suite of desktop applications.
The integration of AT&T WorldNet Services software will make it easier for
people to use the Internet by giving them one-button access from Novell's
PerfectOffice.

AT&T WorldNet dial-up Internet service is currently in beta testing and
will be made available nationwide early in 1996. AT&T WorldNet Service
provides unprecedented ease of use, edited navigational tools and
directories, and AT&T's world-class customer care. The combined offer will
be available in an upcoming version of PerfectOffice early in 1996.

An AT&T WorldNet Service icon will reside on the PerfectOffice Desktop
Application Director, offering instant, one-click access to the vast
resources of the Internet and the World Wide Web. The announcement builds
on the AT&T-Novell relationship, which is currently developing AT&T
NetWare Connect Services.

AT&T WorldNet Service will include access to newsgroups, Telnet, file
transfer protocol (FTP), the World Wide Web, and e-mail.

"Today, the perfect office includes Internet access. The combination of
AT&T WorldNet Service and Novell's PerfectOffice will make the Internet
easier for customers and available with a single click of a button," said
Tom Evslin, AT&T vice president for Gateway Services. "The selection of
PerfectOffice as the initial arrangement for our dial-up service reflects
our strong relationship with Novell and our high regard for
PerfectOffice."

Integrating AT&T WorldNet Service, which includes the Netscape Navigator
Internet browser, establishes Internet access as a standard component in
Novell's PerfectOffice. The partnership between AT&T and Novell provides
powerful application tools, network reliability, and superior customer
care from two of the most recognized brand names in the industry.

"Novell is extremely pleased with the AT&T WorldNet Service arrangement,"
said Glen Mella, vice president of Novell's Business Applications
Division. "PerfectOffice is the first true network suite, and the
integration of AT&T's dial-up Internet service gives our customers simple,
one-click Internet access. This arrangement complements the ability of
PerfectOffice users to access and format information for publishing on the
World Wide Web."

The next version of PerfectOffice also includes WordPerfectR Internet
Publisher, which allows users to author HTML documents automatically
inside WordPerfect without having to learn HTML codes. The new WYSIWYG
(What You See Is What You Get) functionality in the Internet Publisher
shows the user exactly what a WordPerfect document will look like on the
Web before the document is actually published. The Internet Publisher also
allows users to bring Web documents directly from the Internet into
WordPerfect for viewing or editing.
