BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT SHIPS WARCRAFT: ORCS AND HUMANS FOR THE MACINTOSH

Orc and Human forces collide in a new fantasy-strategy game that includes
today's most popular game elements plus a two player option via modem or
network

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 24, 1995 -- BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT today began
shipping the Macintosh version of the company's best-selling fantasy-
strategy game, WARCRAFT: ORCS AND HUMANS. The PC version of the game,
which released in November 1994, earned industry-wide acclaim including
being selected for PC Gamer's Editor's Choice Award and as a finalist for
Computer Gaming World's "Strategy Game of the Year."

Warcraft is a real-time strategic contest in which Orcs and Humans battle
for survival and domination. Using an ingenious arsenal of weaponry and
powerful magic, players control the fate of either the Orc or Human
civilization as the two forces face off in a quest for supremacy. Players
can approach Warcraft as a single-player game in which their mission is to
complete a series of 12 integrated scenarios; or they can compete
head-to-head against an opponent via modem, network or direct link.

Says ALLEN ADHAM, president and founder of BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, "We are
excited to now offer the Macintosh community Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. In
developing Warcraft for the Macintosh, we have maintained the product's
high quality, while also taking full advantage of Macintosh capabilities
such as pull-down and dialog menus; completely redrawn graphics; and Red
Book CD-quality audio music. Additionally, Macintosh users will not be
limited to only competing head-to-head against other Macintosh owners,
because the game also supports the two-player mode against PC players."
