Application Vision

ISLANDIA, N.Y., October 26, 1995--More than 200 senior business and
information technology executives and industry analysts who attended a
summit for manufacturing organizations this month enthusiastically
endorsed Computer Associates' Visual Enterprise Management strategy for
business applications.

The symposium, designed to introduce manufacturing executives to the
technologies and strategies that can immediately benefit their business,
included panel discussions, lectures and lively debates by leading
industry experts. In addition to CA, participants included Allen-Bradley,
Intellution, Advanced Manufacturing Research and Benchmarking Partners.

Richard Chiarello, CA senior vice president, outlined CA's plans to develop
a new, enterprise-wide, integrated suite of business applications. The
applications will be able to quickly configure and mirror a company's
business processes, so that organizations can maintain and grow their
market leadership and competitive edge. Additionally, the new applications
will adapt to the continous re-engineering efforts occurring in today's
organizations by using an advanced user interface and embedded workflow
technology.

After spending two days exchanging ideas about the best use of technology
to help companies compete in the 21st century, attendees applauded CA's
strategy, which was launched at the event.
