CA AND EDS EXTEND GLOBAL SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT TO INCLUDE LEGENT
SOFTWARE

Synergies Created By CA's Recent Acquisition Of Legent Corporation Create
New Opportunities For EDS Clients

ISLANDIA, N.Y., October 10, 1995--EDS and Computer Associates today
extended their global software licensing agreement --believed to be one of
the largest in history-- to include software products from CA's recent
acquisition of Legent Corporation.

The extension provides EDS with very broad and flexible use of former
Legent products for both itself and its existing and future customers
throughout the world. It builds upon the unprecedented 12-year agreement
announced by the two companies in May 1994.

"We are delighted that EDS is leveraging CA solutions to better support its
clients and its own internal information processing requirements," said
Gayle Kemper, CA vice president for the EDS global relationship. "We have
an excellent partnership with EDS, and are continuing to look for
additional opportunities to extend it."

"EDS recognizes the product synergy between the CA and Legent
technologies," said Dana Groover, EDS director, corporate partnerships.
"This agreement continues to expand the number of CA software solutions
EDS can offer its customers."

The former Legent products, which are being extended with CA technology,
fall into three broad categories:

 * Distributed systems management, including multiplatform agent-based
management tools, client/server help desk and problem management,
   distributed storage management, cross-platform connectivity
technology, performance and capacity planning and operations
   management.

 * Distributed data management, including multiplatform software
distribution, data transfer and warehousing enabling technology.

 * Application management, including multiplatform version control,
   change management and application configuration.
