Compaq Announces World Wide Web Page For Innovate Forum 95

HOUSTON, October 5, 1995 -- Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today
announced the creation of the Innovate Forum 95 World Wide Web Page.
Located off Compaq's main Internet address, http://www.compaq.com, in the
"What's New" section under the "Events" topic category, this page is
designed to increase the level of participation in Innovate Forum 95.
Participants from around the world will have immediate access to
information presented at this industry event. Innovate Forum 95, to be
held in Houston, TX., from October 16 through 19, will bring together
thousands of Compaq customers, resellers and partners to explore
innovative tools and solutions that help businesses remain competitive
while increasing productivity. For those unable to participate locally in
Houston, the new WWW Page will allow Internet access to keynote speeches,
strategy sessions, technology presentations, press releases and general
forum information.

Starting today, the Innovate Forum 95 Page will provide detailed
information for both on-site and remote participants including: a schedule
of activities, information of seminars, background information on
participants in the Solutions Center and a local weather report. Once the
Forum is underway, keynote speeches, presentations and press releases will
be added.

Innovate Forum 95 will focus on Compaq's direction for bringing together
the partners and technology to build and enhance core business solutions
for the enterprise. The Innovate Forum 95 Page provides "links" to Compaq
partners' WWW Home Pages, reflecting the importance and value of
partnering to Compaq's strategy. Together with the keynote addresses and
technical presentations, these links will help tie together the
information customers require to answer questions pertaining to complete
business solutions.

Keynote addresses will be given by Eckhard Pfeiffer, president and CEO,
Compaq Computer Corporation; Bill Gates, president and CEO, Microsoft;
Robert Frankenberg, president and CEO of Novell; Ray Lane, president of
worldwide operations at Oracle; and Dr. Hasso Plattner, Vice-Chairman and
Co-Founder of SAP AG.

Over 50 management strategy and technology sessions will explore issues
such as the economics of client/server computing, the Internet,
technology's role in business process reengineering, and digital
convergence. Technology and business experts will moderate these
interactive and solutions-oriented discussions, and facilitate an open
exchange of information among the participants, resulting in useful
suggestions to real-world problems. In addition, there will be a
"solutions center" in the exhibit hall where Compaq and dozens of its
industry partners will showcase joint solutions.
