Sound Blaster Discovery CD 4x Offers Enhanced Audio, Best Selling New
Software, and Windows 95 Compatibility

MILPITAS -- SEPTEMBER 18, 1995 -- Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF)
today announced the Sound Blaster Discovery CD 4x Plug and Play, the first
multimedia kit from Creative that maximizes the easy installation features
of Windows 95. This latest multimedia kit in Creative's award-winning
Discovery series incorporates a new level of convenience, quad-speed
performance, and is 100% Sound Blaster compatible for guaranteed playback
of the broad spectrum of multimedia software available. Discovery CD 4x
includes an updated bundle of exciting new software titles that deliver a
powerful multimedia experience to the home PC user.

Sound Blaster Discovery CD 4x Plug and Play is expected to be available in
September for an estimated street price of US$369.99, which includes 15
entertainment and educational titles.  In addition to working with Windows
95, backwards compatibility with Windows 3.1 and DOS has been maintained.

Sound Blaster Discovery CD 4x will include a Sound Blaster 16 Plug and Play
stereo 16-bit sound card, Sound Blaster software for both Windows 95 and
Windows 3.1, and an internal quad-speed IDE CD-ROM drive, utility software
and stereo speakers. For the complete multimedia experience, the kit also
includes a full range of popular entertainment and educational titles.

Standard Setting Hardware

The Sound Blaster Discovery 4x kit includes Creative standard setting
hardware. The Sound Blaster 16 Plug and Play includes Creative's 3D stereo
enhancement technology that provides a richer, more realistic sound that
adds depth to the quality of sound on multimedia titles. This technology
enhances the stereo image of sounds coming from dual speaker systems
creating a more spacious sound. The Sound Blaster 16 is also upgradeable
with the Wave Blaster II daughterboard for adding EMU8000 wavetable
synthesis with true instrument sounds.

Creative's quad-speed CD-ROM drive is an internal drive that includes and
IDE interface for increased performance and a front-loading tray
mechanism. The drive provides a 600KB / sec transfer rate, a 250ms access
rate, and multi-session Photo CD compatibility. Completing the kit are
Creative's high-performance stereo speakers.
